Mel Kiper Jr is to the NFL draft what Skip Bayless is to sports talk.

Don't you think of he was any good at what he did an NFL tema would be paying him out the arse?

Every single draft analyst that the actual teams employee are far superior to ESPN's hack.

Mark Barron has 177 tackles and 3 picks in his first two years in the league. That's better than LaRon Landry's first two years, for comparison. Kiper's an idiot.

Dang, you mean Alabama's been producing all those great D's with inferior, undeveloped kids?

This is literally all I think of when this topic pops up again and again on here, usually with swarming LSU and Auburn fans. I think the argument is a little tenuous, but I'd love it to be true. Just wait until Saban gets talented players I say! Why this stirs up some of my brethren I will never understand.

MOST draft picks do not have particularly big careers in the NFL.

With Alabama having seeminly 3-5 first round draft picks year after year, it's inevitable that a large number of them are not going to have noteworthy NFL careers.

Besides, while Alabama fans wish their former players all the success in the world in the, at the end of the day who really cares?

Living vicariously through your ex-players NFL success is for programs who can't win shite on their own. I'll take a pile of rangz any day.

Our numbers are likely pretty commensurate with other college teams. perhaps a little low now because the Alabama name may get players a bump.

Just looking at 7 or 8 different NFL Drafts, it becomes clear that you're lucky if you even see half of those drafted in the 1st round make it to at least one Pro Bowl in their career.

Kirkpatrick absolutely!! Was playing behind Leon Hall, Adam(Pacman) Jones and Terrance Newman before injuries.

#18 pick in the draft should not be buried on the so deep on the bench after 2 years.

Talks too much produces too little.

Dre Kirkpatrick had some injuries early on, but played well in limited action recently. He is the future for Cincinatti at cornerback.

i will define news, but really don't feel like getting into a semantics argument with you.

News is recent information put out for public consumption. Whatever news organizations put out is news. In this day and age tweets are news. Quotes, tweets, whatever it was quoted in OP i guess was something new.

But it really isn't argument worthy

Not able to defend your own statement for lack of understanding your native language. When was the last time Kiper reported anything newsworthy? Again, take your time. I tweeted blah. Agree?

It is funny that you insult intelligence when someone doesn't want to engage you in a stupid argument on a message board.

This is a message board, I just got my point across. Mel Kiper is employed by the biggest sporting news company in the world. He hosts every NFL draft, his opinions are news even if you and I disagree with them.

Please go pick a stupid argument with someone else. I don't need to prove myself in a battle of internet wits with you.

Not funny. I am seriously interested in the actual news here. Convince me to follow Melvin as a voice of reason for real news situations. Own your posts. Not that hard.
