I know NOTHING about gun laws so forgive my ignorance. But does this affect anything relating to "concealed" carry? I guess what I'm asking is, are people now allowed to just walk down the street with a holster on their hip like the old west, or does it still have to be 'hidden' so to speak?

I believe you still need a permit to open carry. pretty sure all this law did was make legal some places that were once illegal to carry

Yeah I mean I realize you need a permit and not just any random joe could, I just didn't know if it changed how "open" people could be with it.

You can open carry, so nothing has changed as far as that

Btw don't take your gun in there (not that you would I guess) but there's metal detectors and an X-ray belt machine at all entrances.

Open or concealed carry didn't change. Just where you can carry. I'm not a fan of open carrying because of the extra attention it creates but that's just me. I like being unseen

This law was watered down, the original was alot better and should have been passed without any debate

I only open carry if I leave the wrong gun in the car. That big arse Glock is a pain to conceal so I just let it ride.

I'm glad it passed. I didn't read anything in the provisions that was "extreme", as some leftists are saying.

It basically boils down to giving establishments the freedom to allow or disallow firearms instead of an outright ban on them.

Things like this make me miss Georgia more and more. I'd like to move back home some day.

HELL YES!

This is to the liberal pussy's that want gun control.

When will the pussy liberal politicians realize that the people committing crimes could not even get a piece of gum on credit much less pass the state and FBI requirements to buy a gun? All of their guns are straw purchases or straight illegal. They think the answer is to tell honest citizens that they do not have the right to protect themselves.

My buddy just got a .40 XDs. It looks like an awesome gun to carry and it's fun as hell to shoot. My beretta is pretty worthless to carry
