So 2 mid-tier opponents every year, and you need 2 Citadels to go on top of that? Saban hates your way of thinking.

I don't want to lose the UF game. I just want others to play similarly tough cross divisional opponents with regularity. Should have to beat the best to be the best.

Most LSU fans I've seen on here want to play different East teams more often.

Yea,that's fine with me. But it looks like its going to stay at 8 and couldn't care less about the Florida Gators.I'd go along with 9.

LOL...Not sure if any UT fans have watched their team play football in the last several years but...UT usually loses more than they win...

Cool. I mistook your tirade against a rivalry game for an endorsement of an 8 game schedule. Prepare to hear the lamentations of the Eastern girls.

When did Butch change his mind? The last time it was put up for a straw poll vote, Jones voted against the nine game schedule. I can't find a single interview or article where he says he's for it.

It's really one coach with a newb following suit.

Yep He found another newb to follow him on this one. Bielema learned his lesson

Yep...UF has been top tier lately.

UT will come out of their funk, just like we did. Where was the carrying on about our rivalry when they were up and we were down?

The rest are pussies.

To be fair, they're still trying to interpret Miles' opinion on the matter...

So far it stands at 2 of 13 coaches who support the 9 SEC game season with one pending.

In all seriousness, why are coaches even involved in this? This is a president-level decision.

The coaches hated going from 6 to 7 in 1988 and from 7 to 8 in 1992. Of course coaches want an easy schedule.

This case aside, its frustrating to see rivalries of any sort die because of the schedule makers. That's why I propose the simple solution that the SEC just go back to 12 teams....

At this point, its just inevitable that the UT/UA game will no longer be an annual game. Which sucks because over time, it has been a great rivalry. Both sides have a pretty valid argument.

One of the top 3 teams in the nation in the 90's and 00's.

They are still recruiting at an incredible level and have an elite defense. If you think the last 2 years is UF football, you are a complete buffoon.
