that comment is also tanatmount to when bama fans say they don't care about auburn and that Tennessee is their only true rival.

It has been one-sided hate for a long time. Damn leghumpers have hated us for a while, while we haven't really given a frick about them.
After years of whining and bitching and trying to get our attention it is starting to work and we are starting to dislike the leghumpers. Which will probably translate into a greater number of future arse whuppings heading UGAs way now that they have our attention to a greater extent.

You're our 3rd biggest rival, while many of your fans would consider us your biggest. The 4 years of arse kicking we laid on you, then the following 2 after 2010 in no way made the rivalry hate one sided coming from our end. It is getting there. Before 2010, I would say the vast majority of Aubies pulled for UGA against whoever UGA played each week.

Since when, exactly? It was friendly up until 2010 was it not? Gee I wonder what changed. Then in 2011 and 2012 when we beat arse we certainly had no reason to ramp up the animosity, I don't recall any "extra" hate coming from us then either.
It goes back to the same argument I had a few days ago. Auburn fans talk shite (like this thread for instance), then when a UGA fan says anything back, it's "SEEEEE!?!!? I told you!! UGA fans are mad!!" Uhh..no, we're just posting in the thread one of YOU started. If it weren't for an AU fan, there would be no threads started thus far today about UGA/AU bickering. But now, due to an AU fan, there will be one which will probably go on way too long with many pointing of fingers, and all AU fans will take away from it come tomorrow is "man, I told ya, those UGA fans sure are mad".

A lot depends on where you live. As an AU grad living in Atlanta, I pay WAAAY more attention to the UGA rivalry than to the Iron bowl. Wife is from Montgomery and is just the opposite.

Pretty much this. I really don't feel any particular animosity toward AU IRL, at least nothing like UF or GT. The AU fans on this website are a strange group though
