Elvis is one of the most famous people to ever walk the earth. I'd say top 5 overall. Oprah is probably top 10 or 20 in worldwide recognition. That could put Mississippi at the top if you added everyone else from here.

EP was a well-known Memphis State fan, not an Ole Miss or MSU fan.

Well I hate to even combine the two, but there's a picture somewhere of Elvis with an OM shirt on.

Too bad they both moved to Tennessee and are considered Tennesseans.

Coach Malcome Phillips from Newton Mississippi, played football at Memphis. His first year as a high school assistant he coached Elvis and that old guy from the movie "Road House" Red somthing?? anyway they were playing for the high school he was at. He claimed Elvis sucked and Red was a beast.

Jessica Alba was born in Biloxi, dad was stationed at the Air Force base. They moved soon after though.

Not only is Sela Ward from my home town, she was a cheerleader for Bama.. Bama has a Meridian pipe line.

Anthony Swain from Auburn is pretty legit. I think he was up for an academy award for his performance against Arkansas.
