Why do you think Auburn should get a free pass because of schedule? When everyone on SEC rant makes fun of LSU for saying anything about schedule!!!

Who cares? I am only worried about the upcoming season at the moment. I'll leave the al.com arguments to you mouthbreathers.

We had sustained success in the 80s.

But not on the level of a "big six" school. Auburn went 86-31 from 1980-89 and that was probably the only decade in which Auburn could ever say they actually dominated the conference to an extent. Georgia was the true team of the 1980s in the SEC though.

Still waiting on a Link to a news article about Bama fudging statistics.

I'm sure you believe that article is going to be written on al.com.
That facts are that nobody cares if they fudge the statistics, it is not a State or Federal requirement to report those numbers. It is mainly for magazines and recruiting brochures for parents. I suggest you talk to a Southern HS Counselor, if you doubt what I am saying.

Yet it has absolutely nothing to do with the OP.

Why does Auburn have more conference titles than anyone else the last decade?

What a convenient time frame. It's just 1 year short of including 2003 LSU's SEC Championship. I wonder why.

LSU has been the better program since the turn of the century and Les Miles owns Auburn. 2 of Auburn's best teams narrowly defeated 2 of Les Miles's best teams.

There have really only been two decades where you can really say one team particularly dominated.

Alabama in the 70's.
Florida in the 90's.

Outside of that the SEC has always been hyper competitive and deep.

Auburn has had back to back 10 win seasons once in their entire program's history (1988 & 1989)

Wow. Didn't know that.

Did you know bama lost 6 or more games 4/5 years just last decade while AU has NEVER had a stretch that bad in the programs entire history?

So 7 out of the 11 years from 2000-2010, Auburn had at least 4 losses, including 4 years of 5 or more losses. I would say that is pretty inconsistent, which was the point of the OP.

He didn't ask about SEC Championships or MNCs, he said consistent, which Auburn is not over the time period by the OP

Not hard to believe when you consider we're playing more games in a season now then at the time Pat Dye introduced pay-for-play to Auburn athletics.

True. And Dye was just following what he learned while at the dirtiest program in the history of sports (any sport).

Seriously, has ANY school in any sport cheated as long and as consistently as bama? Highly doubt it.

Well, if it hasn't been said, Georgia consistently underachieves...

Every year.

Pretty sure we could find a worse time period for UGA. We already found a worse one for bama.

And talk about inconsistent, UGA has won 2 SEC championshisp since 1981? Hell, AU has 7 since then. 8 if you count 1993 when we were undefeated and beat both the teams that played in the championship game.

Pretty sad you edited ZERO to 2 and you are still wrong. We have 4 since 1981. You really are showing that strong Auburn comprehension aren't you....

ETA: again, I posted this in my statement but you failed again

UGA has only 3 regular season losing records since 1978 and only 4 dating back to 1963

UGA has the longest bowl active bowl streak in the SEC as well.

I'd say we are pretty damn good consistent team.

Do we have a MNC? No, but that does not define consistency.

Does it suck that we are so badass consistently and don't have one in 30+ years, Yes. But that isn't the point of this thread.

Auburn is not a consistent team. UGA is.

I'll state it again, Auburn has won a MNC since UGA has won one, to make all the Auburn fans feel better.
