How come when you were talking about us hyping our D you didn't include 2009, 2011, or 2012?

Because I was making the comparison to 2010 minus the QB situation. It really isn't that difficult my friend.

I have to agree with him. That was the vibe for sure with Bama coming off a pretty dominating 2009 NC year and 14-0. You beat Penn St soundly and then crushed #7 Florida, and talk was no one in CFB could beat Bama. Right up until USC did. Yeah it was invincible talk through the first 5 weeks...

So kind of like Auburn fans talking about their 2014 offense?

Bama fans were also saying our d was going to be awesome in 2011 and 2012. Both times we were right.

How come you didn't add 2013?

Are you that stupid,or do you just not read up on your opponents. I don't remember your fans bragging they were going to the title game before season started, did they? Most here KNEW we were gonna suffer on the defensive side a little compared to years past but we still ranked top 10.

The 2013 defense certainly had a couple of bad games, but over all they were very good. Shut out Ole Miss and held Auburn to their season low in total offense despite losing. Am excited to see Tony Brown this year. He will be a great compliment to Collins as far as having a stud safety/corner combo.

Yeah sure exactly like we are hyping our O. You had every right to talk that way in 2010 as a Bama fan. Hell I would have. I am using history to make a comparison chatta and I see it brewing to be the same result.

I know you are trying to trap me in something. I thought I made it pretty clear it is merely my opinion.

LULZ, Yeah there were two of us on this board that believed Auburn would go to the NC.

I am one of those two...nice to meet you

This season is not at all like 2010. Although we had a really good team in 2010, just caught the injury bug bad that year. But that happens, so no complaining. But I think the Michigan State game sowed what a healthy Bama team (almost healthy at least) was capable of that year. Darus and Upshaw both had nagging high ankle injuries and weren't effective. Trent and Ingram were also injured most of the year.

This year I am not terribly confident, however this should be a 10 win team and you never know, if they manage to play above their ability could definitely be a team for everyone to worry about at the end of the season.

Woe is Alabama.

Our O-line will be terrible.

All our QB's are mediocre at best.

Our defense is suspect.

We are in obvious decline.

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

You can not win in this league with a first year QB that has not been in your program, it can not be done.....

Unless you are Auburn (Cam and Marshall), but they had the advantage of being kicked off their former team...

Sims is athletic, but appears to lack the instincts of a good qb. He throws into coverage too often and can't seem to decide when to take off running. He should be past that stage of his development.

It's darned near impossible to have 3 great seasons in a row. Going into last year Alabama had won 3 of the last 4 national titles, something that hadn't been done since the 1940's. They were bound to have an off year. They'll be back on track this year.

I'm mildly concerned about the O-line. Not really concerned about the QB. If Coker can come in and do well, then that's a bonus, but we just need him or Bateman to be serviceable. As I said all along, Sims will not be the starter.

Every year after the damn spring game, 75% of this board jumps on some perceived weakness and blows it way out of proportion. This Bama team is as stacked as ever. There are a couple of question marks. If those question marks turn out to be real weaknesses, Bama will lose a couple of games. If they don't, Bama will be in the NC conversation again.
