Exactly. especially for the jewish slave-owners........
They and their gentile Southern brethren all seceded from a union where slavery was protected, so that they could better tend to their plantations (aka concentration camps)....complete with gas-chambers where all white Georgians were attempting to exterminate all black Georgians.......on their way to accomplishing their plot to conquer all of the continent of north america!!!....And beyond!!!!
You're dumb.

UPDATE:
quote:
We hope you weren't planning on indulging in powdered alcohol this fall -- it looks like the US government was a little too hasty in giving the dry drink the A-OK. The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau tells CNN that it approved Lipsmark's upcoming Palcohol "in error." As to why? Lipsmark says that there was a "discrepancy" as to the levels of powder in each bag, and that it had to resubmit the labels for approval. It doesn't have a new launch window, but it sees the feds' change of heart as just a temporary setback.
However, beverage-focused attorney Robert Behrman believes there may be more to the story. In an interview with the Associated Press, the lawyer noted that it's odd for regulators to mess up when greenlighting labels, which usually come at the end of a thorough screening process. He suspects that politicians want more details about the powder before it goes on sale, and that a convenient label mistake would give lawmakers the chance they want. Whether or not there's any merit to that theory, it looks like you'll have to get your buzz from old-fashioned liquid for now.

I'm not interested in assigning cruelty scores to the institution of the slavery and the crimes committed by phonetical nazis. Both were disgusting, inhuman acts committed by sane, rational people.

Actually that was my point. Get over it. Also, what does this have to do with the conversation? I was simply responding to Jefferson's response.

Comparing one act of evil to another act of evil doesn't make either act of evil less evil. The south attempted to form an independent country in order to protect the institution of slavery (this was the overriding issue). They failed. The majority of the world believes the confederate flag symbolizes the south's attempt to protect its evil system. So why keep trying to defend it? "Get over it." It has historical significance. That's it.

lol im not going to get into this debate. you can claim it was due to an "over-reaching tyrannical centralized state" (as Jefferson would put it), but the major causes of the civil war will always lead you back to the slavery issue. Are you going to try to convince me otherwise?

Too bad because I was going to make a good comparison about "cruelty scores".........
I noticed your sig quote about being a "proud liberal elitist"......and so I was going to ask you where you thought your proud liberal support for the brutal murder of unborn babies through abortion ranked up there with slavery, and the nazi holocaust.
Me? Well, I'm not defending slavery.......but I am also not afraid to assign "cruelty scores".......... and so I would put the murder of unborn babies through abortion that proud liberal elitists support.....much much closer to the holocaust than to slavery in terms of "disgusting, inhuman acts committed by sane, rational people".
Again, I AM NOT DEFENDING SLAVERY, but we're up to around 50 million dead babies from abortion in this country alone, so far, thanks in part to your ilk. Compared to about 5 million jews that were killed in the holocaust.
And since you aren't into assigning cruelty scores, how about you just answer a simple geometry question for me??........Again, I am not down-playing the tragic abominable holocaust, but if you were to picture a pile of 5 million dead bodies from the holocaust next to the 50 million dead babies in america alone from abortion........which one do you think would be larger????
That's a pretty fricking stomach-churning mental image huh????? But.......hey. Congrats on your heroic stance on slavery which was abolished 150 years ago.....an institution that NOBODY in their right mind condones or supports today. That takes REAL guts, right there!
Unbelievable.

we were debating the meaning of the confederate flag. not slavery. not abortion.

Right.
You said that I ‘m not allowed to differentiate between the Confederate flag and the German Nazi flag because slavery and the holocaust were both “bad”.
And I’m saying, “That’s idiotic. And, in addition, you obviously don’t understand slavery in the right context during that conflict.”
And I’m also saying, “Hey. Wait a minute! You yourself support the state-sanctioned federally-protected practice of murdering tens of MILLIONS of unborn babies….And that’s just as bad as any slavery or holocaust. Yet, you’re worried about ignorant people misinterpreting and getting offended by a piece of cloth called a flag?????? That’s fricked up!”
But, you say nothing in return. (Just the sound of crickets)

Jeff...that's a very interesting parallel you make between slavery and abortion. Both were based on the perpetrator believing that the victim wasnt human...or less than human. This concept has to be sold to the masses so they would look the other way...once that stops and its seen for what it is, its over.
The similarities are even more bizarre when you consider the heritage of planned parenthood and the percentage of abortions in the black community. Yet black leaders blindly support the policies that are killing them off by the millions.....while leveling charges of racism to their opponents (including pro life folks that want to keep their own babies from being slaughtered)
I wonder if history will one day look at abortion the same way it looks at slavery?

The parallels are fascinating to think about........
Consider how the Thom-arse's of the world demonize and smear as evil the entire ante-bellum South because they were born and lived amongst the institution of slavery.
Well, when abortion eventually becomes universally reviled, will the Thom-arse's of the future look back on all of us living in america today in 2014 the same way? Will they lump us all into the category of evil unborn-baby-murderers because we were born amongst this institution of abortion.......that has always existed in our current society.......that we have grown numb to the argument because, despite its urgency and magnitude, we have lives to live and other worries and joys etc to tend to?????
Or will the sane and rational ones look back on us and realize that, just like those who lived amongst slavery, the story is a whole lot more fricking complicated than that for us?
Time will tell, i guess. Onward.

It's scary to consider how a large population can be essentially conditioned to ignore truly horrible things going on right in front of their noses...because its considered acceptable by the majority, convenient and communicated to the masses as being a means to a greater end.
Hmmm...could be some parallels to German camps as well...
