They mention that Bert was a great coach at Wisconsin but then they rank him behind Mullen. Mullen hasn't done shite in his entire career.

What about in the SEC though? Bert still hasn't beaten an SEC team his entire coaching career. Merlins has.

So basically it's a ranking of coaches in a one year bubble and not their entire body of work.

Athlon has 11 coaches that have never won a national championship, and 9 who have never played for one, ranked ahead of Miles .....what a joke

Dan Mullen is a better SEC coach than Bert. You can't argue that.

I'll be that guy...

With Saban at Bama, it is the best job in CFB. Look at what he has done in recruiting the elite from FL, and cherry picking other states. This is just recruiting, look at the Championships/Opportunities.

Once Saban leaves, I agree, UF is easily the best job in the SEC.

Easily?
I'd say "the best job" changes, depending on context.
UF will always be a great coaching gig.

the definition of best job is relative .....if you are looking for low stress/expectations, great talent and good weather Florida is right near the top.... if you define "best job" as the infrastructure and culture that produces the winning of championships there is no job better than Alabama

It's easy to win at both UF and UA. Shula and DuBose both managed to have 10-win seasons for Pete's sake.

And other coaches haven't notched 10-win seasons.
Both are great jobs.
But it can certainly be argued that some years, other programs/institutions are better situations.
Not a knock against Alabama or Florida; many coaches would love to be at either.

Have Richt over Miles is just ignoring everything about their careers.

1 NC- 0 NC
2 NCG- 0 NGC
SEC championship even
79% winning percentage - 73% Winnning Percentage

Florida will get talent regardless of the coach (for the most part) and they have the best Athletic Department in the country.

And richt backed out of one in 2012. Guess Les isn't the only one with clock issues. Good thing there were never in a huge game with everything counting on it.
