Unless I was missing something, I saw a bunch of white dudes playing on that team.

If the stadium holds 84K, then no way 70K people were there.

Weather probably kept a lot of season ticket holders (and some others) who ordered tickets online home. The 70,645 is definitely sold because they weren't even scanning tickets to get into the game.

They did scan my ticket (with major difficulty).
Not many people in the upper deck.

I was very disappointed with JJ today. Lets hope Marshall keeps it together.

Ah...well, they didn't scan our Ignited cards, so I think they just went 22k for students plus whatever was sold.

He struggled with that and when a young QB starts having several bad plays he loses confidence and that is hard to overcome in one game. He still completed about half his passes and got a TD at the end.

I think Marshall would have even struggled passing to those WRs and against the 1's on D. Atleast no one threw an INT and we know our D can get those.

I wouldn't read too much into JJ's performance today. Yes he looked to struggle and I was expecting a lot as well.
What you should be more worried about is our second string offense surrounding him isn't impressive as a whole. However, on the other hand it could mean our 1st team defense has gotten that much better.

I admittedly bailed after the first half and didn't catch much of the second half. However, what I saw of JJ seemed to fit into that lack of confidence idea. Johnson looked like he was second-guessing everything then trying to guide the throws safely instead of just firing in the throw.

What we need are some GIFs dammit.

Trovon Reed looked very comfortable at corner.

JJ threw a pick to Mack VanGorder that was an amazing one handed backpeddling catch in the second half. It was just called back by a penalty on the def.

That was Marshall I believe.

JJ looked fine given the slanted conditions for most of the game. He looked back to normal once he repped with the 1st team.
He didn't look that good with the ones either IMO.

And the only reason he threw that pick is that he knew he had a free play because of the penalty and he just threw it up for grabs.

I didn't see the FB making obvious big blocks like Jay did but the RBs still had holes.
