No we didn't settle. Noil pitched a bitch about the prospect of Williams along with Quinn and Dupre. So Wilson banked on family connections and turned away an early commitment. A guy who stayed open to LSU for a long time.
We ended up being embarrassed by a guy who spurned his uncle for TAMU, costing us two recruits in the process.
Wilson managed this Recruiting class horribly. We lost three extremely valuable kids in state and one out of state. We turned away others that were high quality.
It can be argued he needed help, and that falls on the head coach. But losing Willis, Noil, Cam and Tony Brown to opponents on our schedule annually doesn't just weaken us at need positions. It strengthened our opponents that much more.
Inexcusable by LSU Football considering the money they pay and the money they ask of the fanbase. But I'm sure this is just the rambling of a Rantard...

I agree, Frank got fuggin owned this year. I don't agree at all hoe they treat some kids and it bit them in the arse this year.

Ok. Let's pretend Frank didn't pull Fournette, Dupre, Etc etc. Sure, we missed out on some guys but let's see in the long run how the 2014 class pans out.
I do think it woke our staff up a bit though and you can see that with how many guys we've offered for 2016 in state this early. Didn't happen prior to last year.
