On way home from lunch listening to the sports radio and heard "Tulsa talking to Mizzou's Haith" glad I didn't swerve off the road and hit a tree.
Really only two things come to mind.
* I wish Frank Haith the best and hope he has a great coaching career.
* Glad his tenure at MU is over, time for us to move on.

I have been a Haith supporting because it was easy for me to see the problems he faced with the roster he inherited. I wii also say the last two seasons have been tough to watch. Definitely not team basketball. That said Haith has at least two stud freshman coming in. His interviewing with Tulsa changes my perspective. His problems hit the fan with the Shapiro problems and really hurt his first recruiting class. Now I see him as a quitter. He has shot himself in both feet by taking this interview. I wonder if many of his supporters like myself have serious doubts about him now. My first thought is Fuller.

I did go to the Mizzou/Illini game and will tell you, it was so hard to watch, I really just couldn't wait for it to be over.
Haven't seen competent half court offense and defense at the same time since Norm, maybe I'm too old school and basketball has passed me by, at this point when I see a team I like watching I will watch, other wise not gonna worry about it.

This is crazy
Not good. This kid was so quiet all season, but tweets this. Wright is a social media hound, but not Gant.

Without a doubt, JW3, Clark, Gant, and Wright are gone.

I don't even care if we hire a shitty coach now, Mizzou basketball is done. Lets scrap it and throw the funds into football.

Meh, be happy. Basketball is just a bullshite hassle anyways. Sure it's cool to be good, but it's not really that exciting or important.
Yup, that's about it.

I don't think we necessarily lose any recruits, if we get a solid replacement. I do think we need to give whomever so time to rebuild the program.

Mike Kelly quote along the lines of Haith staying one step ahead of the posse. Will get to coach against Florida International, Marshall, East Carolina, etc.

Seems legit.
What do you think of Anderson?

If Haith seriously tried to use Tulsa to get a raise, I applaud Alden for letting him go. What kind of leverage did Haith think he had? I mean, I defend the guy, but he's not very smart at understanding how and when to negotiate, apparently.

Wasn't sure if you were asking what I think of Kim as a potential new coach or asking about how Mike used to play the same game all the time.
As for Mike, I get why him and Haith would do it. I think you run a true risk when you are coming off a bad season of having your bluff called. If they're willing to pay it, good for them for doing it. If they aren't willing to pay it...ooops.
As for Kim, I think he's a quality guy and a quality coach from the little I know about him. I think he would have the most support from the fan base of any of the options. I think his lack of a presence on the D1 level would hurt in the short term with recruits and we might lose some of the current guys, but might pay off in the long run. Only other knock on him if I were looking for one might be age.

I agree with all that. He also is a mizzou guy who was the backbone of Norm's staff and has done extremely well at DII. Would be cheap and lend a lot of stability. If we are thinking long term he really might be the guy.

TU officials tell me Frank Haith is still meeting with Tulsa's AD and President.
How fricked up would it be if the deal fell apart. Have to believe Tulsa is completely in the driver's seat at this point because one has to believe Haith has no home anymore. What if they just knocked their offer in half? I'd laugh my arse off.

What if somehow he wound up staying at mizzou.
I'd cry my arse off
