Tennessee isn't top tier SEC basketball, sorry.

Pecking order is similar to this....

Kentucky, Florida, Arkansas, LSU, Alabama, Missouri

Tennessee might be lower 2nd tier or upper 3rd tier

So, you're admitting making the tourney at Tennessee is what matters, yet your fan base is excited you lost that coach?

Yes their basketball fans are delusional, but that kind of crap happens when you are a football school and football has fallen on hard times while the basketball program has some success.

I know this from experience.

That award goes to Missouri. Very similar program resume, yet they think they are among basketball.

Tennessee Program Accomplishments:
National Titles: 0
Final Fours: 0

Elite Eight: 1 (2010)
Sweet Sixteen: 7(2014)
Conference Title: 9 (2008)
Conference Tourney Title: 4(1979)
All-time Winning Percentage: %61.1

Mizzou Program Accomplishments:
National Titles: 0
Final Fours: 0

Elite Eight: 4(2009)(+1 vacated appearance)
Sweet Sixteen: 6(2009) (+1 vacated appearance)
Conference Title: 15(1994)
Conference Tourney Title: 8(2012)
All-time Winning Percentage: %59.6

I imagine you're speaking historically. If so, you just sound like one of those delusional UT football fans...

I'll stop contributing to your troll now. Good luck making the tourney next year. I really feel like Arky basketball is back!

Missouri has 3 more Elite Eights and 10 more overall conference titles while playing in the same league as Kansas and Oklahoma for most of their programs history.

How is this supposed to strengthen your argument? Arkansas, Alabama, and Tennessee all have better winning percentages than OU.

You don't know much about basketball, eh?

Oklahoma has played in 2 title games, been to 4 final fours, 15 conference championships.

UT basketball fans are very similar to USCe football fans. Recent success with no tradition desperately wants a seat at the table.

3 different Tennessee coaches have been to 5 sweet 16s since Arkansas last made it out of the first weekend.

Game has changed a lot since Arky was a part of the sport.

I don't really know too much about pre-1950 basketball, so I guess that's why I overlooked one of their title games, 2 of their final fours, and 8 of their conference championships.

Without Kentucky's National championships, the SEC still has as many as the Big 8/12. Or as many as Kansas, since they are the only team from the conference(s) to win an NC.

Did you not just compare all of Missouris history to all of yours?

Of course it's all relevant.

And 4 different Arkansas coaches have been to 6 Final Fours before Tennessee ever made it to their one and only Elite Eight.

As another poster said this is very similar to S. Carolina football/Tennessee football

Despite being drastically inferior to Tennessee all-time, South Carolina has passed Tennessee in football.

Arkansas has not been relevant in basketball in 15 years and unless they make a great hire soon likely won't be again.

The difference is that UT basketball has been pretty good for a good while now. USC football has been good for less than 10 years, and nobody on earth knows if they'll be good after that coach (who is still there) leaves.
