BTW, if UGA is in a position where they absolutely has to have a first down, and it's a passing situation- Clay Johnson needs to be on the field. He catches everything.

I wasn't discounting Bennett. I was simply saying that Clay should probably be on the field. Both guys seem to catch everything that comes near them.

I agree that our front seven is as good as anybody's. That said, one can definitely attribute some of the o line struggles to the talent and athleticism we have at the point of attack on defense. Hopefully it will make the I line better going up against the best every day in practice.

Really good read there. Explains what the hell is going on with the o-line. To summarize, LG is holding the line back. Also, for those of you not paying attention, Theus did pretty damn we'll at LT. However if we can't find a LG then Houston has to slide to guard, Theus to RT ( not nearly as good), and beard to LT (got man handled yesterday).
So, let's all pray that we find a solid LG before the season starts.

More like Rhett McGowan who was clutch as frick against UF late in a couple of games with them.

Judging by the Nebraska game, he needs more strength. That doesn't come overnight. But making him fight for reps (while he's hopefully working out in the weightroom) is the motivation needed to get him SEC ready.

Also clutch as frick in the last two games of 2012 as well.
Also a walk-on...

Who was the black (skin color) LT that was in for the Red Team in the second quarter? I don't remember jersey number... can one of the experts help me?

Ramsey reminds me of Stafford. Tall, cannon of an arm, and overthrows anything 20+ yards down the field
He's got some years to develop, but i am liking his potential.
finally somebody else on this board sees this...

I'm expecting a pretty solid melt out of you if Park beats out Ramsey
I get it though. If someone from my hometown were in his position, I'd be rooting for him too

I thought Park looked like he had potential.

For 2014 I'd rather have Bauta over Ramsey. Ramsey has potential but right now I'd much rather Bauta.
And I generally agree with what everyone said in this thread. Gurley looked good, liked the receiving corp outside of a few Rumph drops (Conley is still a BAMF), Floyd is the truth, Bellamy looked great, front 7 looked good, OL looked mediocre, and OMG PRUITT.
Liked Davis as well. Also, despite Wiggins penalties I liked his agression. I have a bunch of thoughts but I can't remember them all. I came away from G Day optimistic but the secondary obviously has to improve and I REALLY hope the talent is there for Mason. He's good, solid, makes decent decisions but I feel like there will definitely be a drop off in big pass plays unless the WRs are breaking free on their own.

I hope Mason is just a good game manager. That's all I am asking from him. Right now I am getting a strong Logan Gray vibe off him.
Posted on 4/14/14 at 1:24 pm to DawgHolliday
Mason has already proven more as of this minute than Gray ever did in his entire career.
Posted on 4/14/14 at 1:32 pm to WG_Dawg
Mason is also no where near the fair catcher Gray was
