I'm a big fan of this Davis cat. Kid can play. He's on the HOPE scholarship. Anyone know how that works with scholarship limits?

It was obvious the kid was the best cornerback out there at the moment. I don't think he counts against our scholarship limit right now but I'm sure they'll find a way to get him on scholarship if he continues to ball out.

Matthews was out with a hammy issue Richt not pleased with it saying Matthews needs to take ownership in this issue and do things to help prevent it

Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make it much longer

* Reggie Davis is growing up.

* I like Quayvon catching balls.

* Corey Moore was laying the wood.

* Hutson Mason is gonna be fine, IMO.

* Davin Bellamy is a man.

* TD Uriah Lemay. Hooray.

* I got a boner when Pruitt ran out and asked the ref about Swann's PI.

* Richt said Erickson won the punting job at the end of the year?

* Askew pick was nice.

* Trammel Terry definitely has the athleticism to play well.

Tell me about it. I was making and hauling pizzas around @ Neyland for the UT game.

The only thing I feel I learned today is that the Sanford Stadium staff still has no idea what is going on, and apparently I know GataHata9's sister, but her last name is now Jarret.

I definitely came away believing Reggie Davis is a much more complete player. Not just an inconsistent guy with speed.

Wasn't Aaron Davis a recruit who would have been a 4 star if it wasn't for getting hurt his sophomore year and missing his junior and most of his senior year with complications from that injury. He still had offers from D-3 schools based on the 1 or 2 games he played his senior year. Want to say I remember his name from an upcoming juniors article.

Yes. After Collin Barber's concussion at UT, he struggled pretty bad coming down the stretch and Richt said Erickson was more consistent.

No, it's just a coincidence, my wife was showing me some lab crap something or other on facebook and one of the last names tagged on the picture had a very unique hyphenated last name, asked wife to elaborate on her, she's some kind of lab something or other, might not even be your sister, but based on your reaction, it probably is.

No more chowder family tree talk.

Mason concerned me a little, some overthrows, some underthrows. The shorter passes were right on the money, but without him being a consistent deep threat, I think the offense will struggle mightily. That pass to Bennett (one handed catch) was overthrown, Bennett was wide open and even if he had slightly underthrown it, it would have been a touchdown.

Gurley and Turman looked good. ROWK looked like shite.

In the secondary, I still saw some confusion. Imagine that.... these same kids were mediocre last year, and with a coaching staff change, they are still mediocre. I was surprised by Aaron Davis. I was taken completely off guard by how well he played.

I was also surprised how well both offensive lines played. In spring games they say you can't tell if it's the defensive line that is good or if it is the offensive line that is bad. In this case, where I'm familiar with our defensive line starters, and I know how good they are, it was very uplifing to see the offensive lines on both teams control more plays than they lost control off. I'm not saying they played perfect, but I am now more hopeful than I was, about a unit that was causing me the most concern.

Something else I noticed, at one point on the black team, the entire offensive line except one guy, was white. KH and JT and DA were all on the Red team... who the hell were the other 4 white offensive linemen? I was going to buy an FCA program but got sidetracked.

Quayvon in a slot TE position, that was interesting.

I hope the "Get Outta Your Mind" crap gets shitcanned before the season. How annoying is that shite?

Bottom Line: Can UGA win the SEC with Mason?

Absolutely.

But he's not good enough to carry the whole team.

The running backs have to stay healthy, the line has to give him some reasonable protection, the receivers can't drop half as many balls as they catch, and the defense needs to force more turnovers. Special teams need to at least be average.

If all of those things happen, Mason is perfectly capable of being the QB on an SEC Championship team.

Yes, but if what happens to Mason happened to Murray last year, we only win about 4 games at most.

Also, I saw enough great things from Bauta, that I believe he sees some significant playing time or tailored packages for him.

I think the majority of the confusion in the secondary was because of the constant rotation of depth chart during the spring. Once summer workouts begin, the 1's and 2's will be mostly set and the continuity will begin. That front 7 might be the best in the nation IMO.
