I hate to be negative nancy. He is going to be a great running back. He has size, power, and speed. A big reason u don't see huge guys like him play RB is because of injury concern. He is much taller than the average RB. His legs and knees (which are everything to a RB) are exposed to many more hits. Also, players are going to go low on him because u cannot tackle him high. He would probably make more money and have a longer career if he was playing linebacker.

He really is a great talent. I think he will be a pro bowler. I just think injuries are a major concern for a guy that big at that position. The guys that rack up tons of yards and play lots of years in the league are typically much shorter.

Jim Brown was 6'2", played in an era where it was run first, and became arguably the greatest RB in the history of the game.

This doesn't make sense because their are no guys like him who play RB. He is a 50 year talent and he's in T-Town.

I can say he's a 50 year talent because he broke a 50 year old record.

Jim Brown also played in an era when DL were the size of today's LB's and the LB's were the size of today's safeties

He also has a much better attitude than Yeldon from what I've heard. Which usually seems to go a long way with Saban

Quote from the al.com article on Henry....

quote:

When he reflected on the Sugar Bowl, Henry said he could tell Oklahoma's defenders "didn't want to tackle me."

It is still unbelievable to me that we didn't feed him the ball the entire second half.

Probably why Nussmeir is at Michigan now.

Absolutely unbelievable. Me and my friends were just looking at each other with blank stares when we kept trying to pass the ball.

It was one of those situations where you're thinking that you must be taking crazy pills. How Saban (or anyone on the staff for that matter) didn't recognize that is amazing to me.

I'll play devil's advocate and defend the coaches here. We were playing from behind the entire game with little confidence we could get a stop on D (failed to get 1 the entire 1st half). I'm sure they were thinking we were going to have to win a shoot-out so they leaned on our 5th year, record breaking, Heisman finalist QB rather than a frosh RB with practically no meaningful PT experience. I do think they screwed up by letting Cyrus continue to go 1on1 when he was obviously completely over-matched.

I get that, but I think it was obvious to most that we were out of sync on offense and Henry was the only reliable asset we had. Feeding Henry would've kept moving the chains and would've kept the OU offense off the field. Letting AJ dropback 5 steps for a slow developing play against a heavy pass rush wasn't the answer. I'm of the belief that you give the ball to the guy with the hot hand.

In the end, it felt similar to the 2012 A&M game where we just abandoned the run game early even though the game was far from over.

If Henry has 100+ yards and a score during the Spring game......I think you all should wear this sig so the rest of the SEC can be on notice. They need to be informed that they have the potential to be startled this fall.

I believe the term you are looking for is mismatch. I cant think of a single LT in college that is going to consistently win a quickness battle with a 200lb linebacker without any help from a te or rb, which is essentially what happened

Henry is gonna wreck shite this fall. I am 100% certain of that. My only hope is that we can put together a OL solid enough to get him past the line of scrimmage into the 2nd level. If so, Game Over. SEC fricked.
