no we don't...but we aren't making very good decisions...blame our manager for that...second base has been a problem...maybe LaStella can fix that...also...we need to figure out how to get Schafer more involved...the bullpen is alright but is not utilized properly imho...

julio becoming the ace we rthought he was. needed a big win tonight to stop the bleeding....he gives a monster blast in the 1st inning, yet shuts them down the rest of the way, getting 2 hits and score a run in the process, and allows his team to make the comeback.
that is big time shite right there

It's sad to say it but..that Marlins sweep was big! Darvish just made the Nats look like idiots over there in D.C. LOL Let's hope we can start to pull away.
Also, La Stella has been Stellar at the plate so far. Maybe he can improve his D a little bit. We are spoiled with Simmons, Freeman, & Heyward and their crazy good D.

Definitely a big series sweep

Yeah we really needed that after the debacle earlier in the week. Shae Simmons has been a very nice surprise so far. Dude's sinker is absolutely disgusting and he's got a nice slider too. Hopefully he can keep it up because it sounds like Venters return has been delayed a until July/August instead of mid June.
Last week Venters pitched 15 times in a bullpen session and immediately after was reported to have experienced an issue with some scar tissue causing soreness in his flexor muscle. So far it is just being reported by the doctors that the soreness is related to the scar tissue that is attached to the flexor muscle and that his elbow is structurally sound.
No timetable was given on when he will attempt to pitch again, just whenever the soreness dissipates.

Shae Simmons should get a shot pretty soon if he keeps pitching well.
Love it when a plan comes together.

Solid call!
I expected him to get promoted to Gwinnett for at least for couple weeks before getting a call to the the bigs, but so far it looks like Wren made the right decision.

Congrats to Kimbrel on setting the Braves saves record. Kinda surprising to me that the record was only 154. That's like only 4 years of being a very good/elite closer assuming that would mean about 40 saves a year. That really shows how closers can just lose it very quickly. Examples: Mitch Williams, Rocker, Wohlers, Gagne, etc... I hope our 4 year/42 million dollar investment with Kimbrel pays off.

Just beat me in the playoffs like you always do. Oh wait... with this style there are no playoffs.

Yeah, I'm not feeling confident in my quest for the 3-peat.

The pitching is just not there right now and the hitting has so many holes that it's hard to mask.
We are such a swing and miss Hot or cold type of club. We have the potential to run off 10 straight and then go 5-25.
Washington has much more balance and more firepower in the rotation.

I'm kinda thinking getting rid of Tim Hudson was a mistake simply from the leadership angle...who is our leader right now in the locker room?...Laird?..it is a position that is lacking...

I agree it was a mistake but hindsight is 20/20. I was convinced Huddy was done after that nasty shite. Who knew he'd come back with his hair on fire?

We really do. I didn't think we'd be great this year but I mean if they make it then yea, they're gonna get crushed.

no shite...nasty injury for a pitcher...bad decision by the front office though...
kind of like our Jags and Garrard...should have kept him around...
dude everytime I see your avy and the first lady of Jville I get a weird sensation in my nether regions...

Lindsey Duke, the dutchess of Atlanta Beach, is honestly why I wake up every morning.
And I couldn't agree more about Garrard. Never thought about it but yea, very similar situations. I was furious with JAX at that time. Garrard had been nothing but great for Jaguars and I was BEGGING them in the beginning to start him over Byron concrete-foot Leftwich forever. He came in and was great despite having shite for weapons at WR. He gets hurt and how do they repay him? Cut.
I was as disgusted with that move as I have ever been with any team.
