It's going to be 2 years. Be patient. We're in a good position with both, that's all that really matters at this point.

FWIW, I ran into his cousin (he is also on the Silsbee OL) at the gym earlier and he said Patrick is pretty solid with A&M at the moment and a big part of it is the chance to start early.

I'm sure you mean we haven't offered but we recruit (ie stay in contact with, check grades, character, develop relationships, etc) hundreds of guys per year that never get offered. Martin is definitely on our radar. However, I don't think an offer was coming soon as the biggest thing holding back one is his size and that won't change over night.

while a true statement, I think there are several factors at play and you need to cut him some slack. He doesn't like the recruiting process and doesn't want to be bothered so he's a prime early commit. And he wants a small town feel and it seems Briles and his coach convinced him Waco has that more than B/CS (it's a debateable thing because feel is feel).
He's an absolutely elite prospect but OL is the least of my particular concerns.

Who would have thought that Baylor and not the Longhorns would become our biggest recruiting rival in Texas.

anyone see the story going around that Hudson was "duped" into "committing" to us and didn't realize it, then once his mom found out she bitched out Sumlin and that's why he committed to Baylor? ....

oh I know. Just read Baylorfans, a couple posters on there said they had heard it, one of them at a coaches convention and said Sumlin does it to multiple recruits, such as saying "so and so is committed" to get them to commit as well. So ridiculous. Hudson even mentioned that his mom was excited in the interview!
