Through the first 3 or 4 games last year I was wondering what the hell was wrong with him
Always seems to take Gus 4 games to figure out exactly what to hell to do each season. When Gus stopped doing stupid shite like the Wildcat and swinging Jay out wide to go block a CB, the O started flowing.
Hopefully we do not have that problem this year with a returning QB and 4/5 OL.

Nick Marshall didn't practice.

@JamesCrepea: For the third straight week, Nick Marshall is not available after practice. Auburn's starting QB hasn't spoken publicly for 21 days.
Apparently someone has an issue with this

Crepea always has the attitude that the world is out there only as a vehicle for the journalists and media.
And feels it an insult when he is not allowed to write another boring repetitive story about the same ol' shite.

Rumor is Marshall has been in a boot

Note per AUC LINK
-Marcus Davis getting most of the Reps at Slot WR
-Main competitor is Melvin Ray
-JJ looks to MD in WR progressions a lot
-CAP leader for RB spot
-Grant #2 at RB
-This year's Buck Schweep play will have CAP by Nick and Corey in motion
-Fulse is leading the race to replace Prosh, not Parks
-1 long drive today ended w/ a back shoulder TD throw to DUUUUUUUKE!
-Louis back at practice and playing outside WR
-DQ is lining up at every WR spot and appears to be excelling at each spot
-1st team OL had AY at RT, Slade at RG, Shon at LT
-Some packages had AY at RG w/ P-Mill at RT.

Corey Grant just needs to stay as the jet sweep threat, and let Cam Artis-Payne, Peyton Barber and Racean Thomas take over the normal running back role.

What Gus said
-Had a lot of 11-on-11.
-Emphasis was on 3rd and 7+ and in the red zone.
-Special teams got a lot of work midway through practice. Jon Wallace is in the mix for the holder job.
-this A-Day will be just like last year's. Putting the football down and getting after it.
-there will be somewhat of a depth chart after spring.
-Daniel Carlson at kicker, Jimmy Hutchinson at punter for first team
-Justin Garrett has been great this spring and 'has a nose for the football.'
-Goal for Nick Marshall was to get better at check-downs and looking through progressions. Has improved from National Championship. Says Marshall is very coachable.

AUC hears Marshall is limping but not believed to be serious. (Was NOT in a boot today per Hoke.)Stood by Lashlee today at Practice.
