I'm a little surprised at HBT. He seems like someone who has better things to do; the others, not so much, especially "the couple." They're just weird & pathetic. I think they share a brain.

So am I. I like having smart, funny, albeit "out there" folks from other fanbases here to play around with and have discussions with, as long as they're not here under false pretenses.

I think there's truth to that. I also think it wouldn't matter if we were winning in every major sport every season. We'll always be a "lightning rod" regardless of wins or losses because, honestly, I believe for the most part, it's purely entertainment for tRant to "pick on" us. For a very long time, since way before I got here, the Hog posters have done an excellent job in basically "training" the others to jump through hoops by amusingly "spinning" our unfortunate issues & circumstances into more favorable ones, showing that we do have pride in our teams, and won't be put into the "place" the ranters think we should be. Many of them are extremely amused by it; others are pissed off to no end by it, but that's their problem.

On the flip side, there are going to be threads started by others to flame us in "retaliation" for our not lying down & dying as we're "supposed to." Those folks have more problems than message board banter if they take things (or themselves) that seriously. Others who flame are doing it just for the fun of it. Either way, it shows the awesome job the Arkansas posters have done in getting completely in the ranters' heads and consuming their thoughts. Sometimes, I think we might take things a bit far, be too obvious, or have too much going on at once, but for the most part, the Arkansas posters have done a great job of turning lemons into lemonade and sending the message that we're not going anywhere, win or lose, and from what I've seen, without being needlessly malicious, which is more than I can say for much of that board.

When BP was winning, we were begrudgingly accepted as an emerging power. TAMU is getting the same small amount of respect now.

Honestly, I don't particularly care what the ranters think about us or about getting their validation or respect. I definitely don't have much respect for a lot of them based on what I see here. Frankly, they're the last ones I care about impressing. I want the Razorbacks to be successful in all sports because I love the Razorbacks, the university, and the tradition. Period. I want the players who care about all of those things, and who bust their asses, regardless of how many losses, to have a taste of real success as well. I will always respect, support, and have pride in the UofA and in the players and coaches of all Razorback sports who give their very best every day regardless of the circumstances or the Ws & Ls. The ones who don't, or don't care, I have no time for. That's just a given for me. And I'll always be pretty vocal about it. If it pisses off some of the idiots on tRant, that's all the more better.
