C.Strong is a damn good coach.

While I disagree, it's probably a moot point. His personality is the exact opposite of that required to thrive at Texas. He is not particularly well spoken, is poor in interviews, HATES dealing with boosters and the fanbase in general and has the personality of an onion.

The coach at Texas must have a CEO personality to thrive. Even if you win at Texas, you wont last long if you don't stroke the egos in and around Bellmont.

Strong also isn't a particularly good recruiter, which is a huge detriment considering that Miles, Sumlin and Stoops are all known as very strong recruiters.

If they would have looked past their pride (Baylor vs Louisville)

Could have squashed prime competition as well.

Strong is a great DC or mid level HC. When Billy G was at UK He was in way over his head from a media/statecelebrity/recruiter standpoint.

What are the policies for walking around with booze the day of the game? The plan is to walk to the tailgate from my apartment, off Wellborn, with some beer in tow and hopefully one in hand. How are the cops on game days?

Don't have an open container near the bars on Northgate and you are fine. Campus is wet and basically anything goes, and southside is pretty much the same.

We used to pre tailgate in the mornings at a house off Fairview just south of campus when I was in school and walked with booze to the tailgates right by cops and they never said anything

DJ still thinks that SC can run the table and win the East. He likes Carolina's offense but neglected to talk about their defense.

Well I'm rooting like hell for SC to at least handle UGA. Would reflect well on us since the Dawgs were the other impressive team from week one, and also because we have a few cupcakes coming up.

Hoping our offense is really just that good and made their D look worse than it was.

And, this also means he's lost the team, right?

Yep. Lining up his excuses for 5-7. Shaggy already saying they hope he gets 4-5 years to turn this thing around

It's a good thing that our big in state rival isn't full of jail house ballers, our main rival doesn't go out of the way to get character risks on the team, and the state of Texas isn't overrun with recruiters from the dirtiest sports conference of all time. If that was the case, then being this strict just might have a negative affect on us.
