I sure hope that Rea can hit for a little more power than he did last year. Hailstate.com said he finished last season with just 7 homeruns.

I hope he gets that total to around 13-15 this year.

We definitely need him to do a big part in filling the power hitting gap Renfroe left behind. He's a guy you can bank on improving as the season progresses though. He's just a natural athlete and competition will always do that to him.

He also missed several weeks -- if not a month -- to injury last year...

The defense had no errors this weekend, which is very impressive. First few games you usually see a little rust from the D.

Updated (2/17) Perfect Game Rankings

Who do most people use for baseball rankings? I can never seem to remember.

I generally switch to whatever we're ranked highest in and bitch about all the others.

In all honesty, I think PG and BA are the best polls.

As a team we may not hit as many HRs as Renfroe did last season.

Clarion Ledger will use like USA Today or something because the same company owns both newspapers.

Matt Stevens will probably change his choice every week so he can use our worst ranking to get a stir from the fans.

I don't know about the school and/or anyone else.

Yeahhh -- that's a gross exaggeration. Garner and Humphreys are going to hit balls out.

While that may not affect our overall offensive production much, I'm not gonna lie, I like to see balls go over the fence.

Truuuu

Detz may not make many errors, but that's because he's going to make the routine plays and not get to anyone beyond routine.

I thought I had completely trimmed him out of my life and then @HailStateBB has to retweet him during the entire game.

The stuff they tweet is extremely corny and annoying.

"Win this one for MOTHER RUSSIA."

"We don't have fans. We have family."

Not sure he runs it, but I assume that it is the same person we runs the football account.

The tweets, especially lately, have been extremely embarassing and unprofessional.

I can't see Cohen signing off on these tweets that reflect poorly on his baseball program.

I think Niblett runs that account and the new football SID runs the football account. I may be wrong though...
