Well yea, our top three guys start on the weekends. Just a bad inning in the sixth tonight. We actually have a pretty deep staff, although they've been getting themselves into trouble with a lot of walks lately.

I actually don't expect to score when we get guys on, and I'm usually pretty optimistic. We've just been awful in those spots all year long, with just a few exceptions.

Well I'm usually too optimistic. College hitters shouldn't strand as many as Bama does.

And a flyout to end it.
USM 6-8-3
UA 3-9-1

Good to see the bats wake up a little in the 9th but we need more of it. Pitching was pretty good minus 2 innings. We've got to limit walks and passed balls.

Dropping mid week games like UAB and USM will keep us from hosting a super if we make it that far.

At least we split with UAB, got that monkey off our back, and have the benefit of good road win. We got swept by Southern Miss for like the third time under Gaspard.

Hate to lose to Southern Miss, but our arms should be fresh heading into the weekend. This series coming up will be really tough and I'm still confident about the rest of the season.
