Every player ever from Hampton Roads is raw. They are also super athletic and instinctive generally, which is why the hit rate on prospects from that area is so high.

I think we will find out a lot about Donte Jackson's recruitment by what he says after his visit to LSU this weekend. He will be there with a lot of our current commits.

don't think so. his teammate Tre turner is (2016 kid) who IMO is a better prospect than Chigbu

Jackson last night....

quote:

Jackson, who finished with 149 yards total offense and two touchdowns, showcased his game-breaking ability on a couple of 50-plus yard plays including a 59-yard scamper where the top recruit turned a screen-pass into more as he sliced through would-be defenders and raced down the right sideline for the touchdown.

Earlier in the quarter Jackson ripped the King defense for a 56-yard touchdown run displaying his blazing quickness.

quote:

It was Jackson, who got the momentum started intercepting King quarterback Anthony Marino with 9:54 left in the first frame.

I would have expected more out of him against that team. they are perennial doormats in what is usually a pretty awful district

I agree...Y'all just need to pass on him. Sounds like he may be lazy & a possible headcase. LSU can do better...

Josh Sweat left his game tonight in an ambulance with a lower leg/knee injury.

Hopefully they mean just his patella was dislocated and not actually his knee. Because if his knee was dislocated, broken bones would be the least of his worries.

If the hospital said knee dislocation then it is probably his knee. They would have said patellar dislocation if they mean his knee cap. And you're right, kid could have some serious issues if it's the knee.

Yea I was just hopeful it was one of those lost in translation type of things between the hospital and the media. But going to hospital by ambulance would definitely make a knee dislocation more likely. Hate it for the kid and hope he ends up alright.

It may have been a lost in translation thing. I'm just speculating.

ESPN has it going across the bottom of the screen as a dislocated kneecap. My gf is a PT and she said that's WAY better than a completely dislocated knee. She said athletes come back fast and with minimal problems for a dislocated patellar tendon. So let's hope we stay on him hard!!!!!

Yea a dislocated patella is infinitely better than a dislocated knee. You don't have the neurovascular and internal ligament damage you'd risk with a dislocated knee. Dislocate a knee and you may not ever play again depending on the extent of damage.

That's good for him that it's just the knee cap. You're gf is right. Fully dislocated knees usually come with torn ligaments of every kind and sometimes vascular problems. We should definitely stay on him hard.
