That's great news. The good thing is this was an unofficial visit so we can still get him on campus for and official visit later.

Retweeting nothin' but UGA stuff. Sounds like we're still in the lead by a long shot.

He wanted to redshirt. That's out the window now because their secondary played so shitty

Jaqua Daniels tweeting very positive stuff about UGA. Looks like he is definitely on board, pending grades improving.

Good for him, he's taking the long view.

And I hope he gets to. At least until after the third game of their season.

They need him now athletically. They just aren't very athletic on D. They aren't big, but they're slow. A&M just abused them man to man

Don't look now, but Bulldogs trending hard with McFadden. Missed his flight Saturday morning, rented a car, and drove 10 straight hours to make it to the game just after kickoff per 247.

Michel helping a lot.

Not saying the kid isn't devoted but...did he actually drive or did he sit in the back seat tweeting and texting while the legal adult who actually rented the car drove if so, it wasn't too rough a trip for him.

It WAS a long trip when I was a kid. Sitting in the back seat with nothing to do but fight with siblings. Today...shite, that's barely a blip on the radar with music, internet and phone, video games, possibly movies. Worst part of the trip would be getting out every couple of hours to take a piss, eat some twinkies, and drink a 2-liter of Sunkist in the miserable heat.

For the record, Ive made the trip from Miami to Athens and back in a car. Its not that bad, especially for a high school kid who isn't doing the driving.

That sounds nice in theory; but as a parent, I DANG sure am not renting a car and driving 10 hours for anything if my kid isn't dead serious about it. Regardless of what he is doing in the back seat.

Oh, I agree with that. I believe there is serious interest or there wouldn't have been a willing adult in the mix. Just saying the suffering during that trip was done by the adult, not the kid.

Partial payment on the Tunsil tax coming due?...

quote:

East Marion’s Johnathan Abram had a big month of recruiting in August and saw that momentum extend into the first day of September.

Abram was at Georgia’s season opener against Clemson this past weekend. While the safety had planned to decide whether he was going to commit after his first visit, Abram says he now wants to take all of his officials before deciding.

“I really could have committed but I’m just going to wait it out and take my official when they play against Auburn in November,” he said. “I’m also taking one to Kentucky on Sept. 27 when they play Vanderbilt.”

Abram met with Georgia defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who has made a strong push for the Mississippi safety since he camped in Athens back in July.

“We took a picture together and he was telling me he hopes we can take pictures every year together and that whenever I decide to commit I never have to worry about my offer not being there,” he said.

Having the backing of a committable offer from the Georgia coaching staff is a huge weight off Abram’s shoulders, giving him the confidence to weigh out his options before making a decision.

Tunsil Tax must be paid in full by late February. No exceptions.

Also, Dante Shipman is apparently no longer a take. Methinks that our current DB haul + our standing with McFadden has caused us to play wait and see with him.
