Awesome win! Between Dillon and Keegan we have one of the best 1-2 punches in the league if we can give them run support and the bullpen doesn't blow games

2-1 AU bot 8. Keegan pitched 8 full innings. Thinking they come in with the closer for the 9th.

Remember me telling y'all who had that thought, that our execution was still bad even though we we were winning and it would bite us in the arse later if we did not execute a lot better?

Those last two innings were vintage Auburn baseball of recent years. Get no runs in in a no-out, bases-loaded situation and terrible relief pitching to cough it up.

Sigh.

Not sure why we keep going to Wade. I feel like he blows every crunch time opportunity...

This team is so close to being at least middle of the pack SEC which is pretty darn good nationally but no clutch hitting and weak bullpen are killing us. Its so frustrating finally having good starting pitching and us wasting it almost every weekend

We have not gone to Wade much in pressure situations. When we have it's been a mixed bag. You have today and game 1 versus Ole Miss and on the other end of the spectrum he shut the door in dominating fashion the last 2 or 3 innings versus Mizzou in game 3 to get our only win in that series.

Exactly we are a feast or famine team all around. I still dont know if they were told to swing away or what but when you have bases loaded in the bottom of the 8th no outs and up by one run and two seniors come up to bat, one of them has to put the ball in play. But no both struck out and did so poorly. I knew we were toast when we couldnt plate a run there.
