Derouen officially in!

May have the most BCS offers of a Mullen OL commit thusfar....

I trust Mullen and his staff's evaluation, but for my eye, this kid needs a lot of work before he hits an SEC playing field

Assuming a class of 32, who are the last 5 guys we take out of this bunch?

Javon Patterson
Leo Lewis
Fletcher Adams
Deshawn Raymond
Gabriel Campbell
Jalen Bates
Jamal Danley

We would make room for every one of the guys you listed IMO

How would we do that? Is anyone planning on transferring or could we take a smaller class next year?

Letting go of some fringe guys in the class.

Eh -- I trust anyone with a Boston College, Georgia Tech, and Duke offer...

BC is the 4th best school in the country at putting OL in the NFL per 24/7, GT is constantly chasing guys they think they can turn into true road graters in their option attack, and Cutcliffe is one of the better evaluation guys out there...

We are not getting Patterson. I think he is just a polite guy and is giving us some praise on twitter. Just 5 away maybe?

Leo Lewis
Jalen Bates
Gabriel Campbell
Fletcher Adams
Mark McLaurin - Check
Jamal Danley
Some other OL I am assuming (Derouen) - Check

I wonder if Mullen likes this Jon Randall Belton guy a lot. Another plus is that Derouen apparently gives him an in on that.

I think your scenario is most likely...

Still chasing 3-4 additional stars, such as Payne and Patterson, that are unlikely. At this point, we can focus on 35ish total prospects in the class(got to keep recruiting the commits) -- and shift alot of focus toward 2016.

I saw Derouen say something about that guy in the commit story, but if he's from GA and the Belton kid is from LA, what's their connection?

as someone already said, we would make room for all those guys if they wanted to commit.

I think we end up with Lewis, Adams, Bates, Campbell & Danley.

Something Paul mentioned today on making the numbers work is to not sign but just place the non qualifiers

This is the part I've been expecting.

With the way the 25 rule works -- and the fact that the "sign" counts against that 25 regardless of whether they show up or not -- it doesn't make much sense to actually ink sure nonqualifiers to LOIs... Not unless you've got alot of room in a class that's going to be cut off by the 85 limit...

So, a Kansas writer just CB'd Malik Newman to MSU... That makes 5 of the last 6 for us, including a Duke and Kansas writer
