This thread was more fun when Engie was trying to figure out if Fitz was going to be Peyton Manning or a poor man's Gus Walley.

So he was purposefully baiting our recruiting thread like I said?

No, just making a point of your spinningness. No baiting or trying to pick a fight. If I said clouds are cotton candy and you pointed out my error, is that baiting on your end? No. I'll just refrain from commenting on anything you say on this board.

yeah, that last OL spot will go to a HS guy.

In order it's probably

Patterson
Williams
Derouen
DeBrossard

Well I don't really see us getting Patterson. Would love to get Williams.

I don't either. Just stating that the staff will obviously wait to see how it plays out. If we really are "even" as he said or if it was just a visit high.

Williams would be a damn good pickup and Auburn may very well slowplay him into our laps.

I think we need one more OL in there at least...

Don't forget we got Ronald Cochran

I think we are done if we get Danley and Darryl Williams.

My concern is that we know Williams really wants to go to Auburn (unless that's changed). Even if we get his commitment now I would be leary that Auburn will come back in with a late offer and we lose him at the end like Rawlings last year.

I understand your point but you still don't pass on a 4 star center because of it. Also, unless one of their linemen decommit, they're not coming back for him.

Just a concern, I certainly agree we roll the dice on him if he is ready to commit. Like you said, good chance Auburn won't ever have a spot for him.

Do y'all have any avid player recruiters? I know it's early and most players haven't met through camps, visits, all-star games, etc, but a potential huge thing about y'alls class is the huge early success. With filling majority of y'alls needs so quickly and having guys that will go to many top SEC camps, y'all can do what we really couldn't do in 2013.

If Treadwell and Nkemdiche had have jumped on as early as Peters/Dear/Washington, that class would have been outrageous. There were a ton of guys that were incredibly close to those two(VH3, Lawson, Wiggins, Coley, etc) that we made late pushes for when we had Treadwell publicly committed, but it was too late. Y'all have the ability to really go after some big names. If y'all can get Adams and Leo on board soon, frickkkkkkk. Mullen and crew would have 6 months to attack big name guys.

Ha if we get Adams and Lewis on board we're almost full.

Obviously we wouldn't pass up some other 5* guy, but that would involve taking back offers from current commits and I don't really like the sound of that

Kentavius Thomas tweeting that we've got a new one in the boat and an announcement is coming next week... No idea who it might be...

And as far as the "player/recruiters", this is seemingly by far the best group we've ever had about that. They are really running with this #dawgfam15 thing and seem to be really bonding with each other and selling us to other identified targets.

That said, I don't see it being anything like the OM2013 class. We just aren't casting that wide of net. Seems to me that we're going to focus on about 10 guys remaining in this class(the 4-6 we're likely to get -- plus a few elite players that we are throwing flyers at like Patterson and Payne) -- and go with heavy focus to 2016, which is another class that's just as loaded....
