@JHokanson: Just finished a lengthy conversation with #Auburn 5-star commit Jovon Robinson, who is always super intriguing to chat with. Story tomorrow.

Jovon Robinson speaks out
quote:

I was mad (about his former 7 on 7 coach a couple months ago saying Jovon was waivering and would take visits). I was really angry. When you’re going to where you want to go, there’s always something that tries to get in the way," Robinson told AuburnUndercover.

"It’s been a long time, and for that person to come out and say that as a publicity stunt -- you don’t know who I’m talking to or how I’m handling my business. There’s no reason for that statement. I talked to Coach (Rhett) Lashlee at the time about it and told him it wasn’t anything serious."

it went well (OV to AU), but I've seen it all before. It's all about getting back acclimated to the surroundings."

Everybody knows I’m committed to Auburn. I’m still being recruited by Alabama and all those other schools, but the coaches know where I want to go. I know where I want to go. You know where I want to go," Robinson said.

"Right now, I feel like my decision was right two years ago and it’s just another right decision.

My relationship with Coach Lashlee and Coach Horton is going really well. We have a great relationship, probably one of my best relationships I’ve had with coaches in a long time," Robinson said. "They understand what I want to do and didn’t have a chance to do before. They have a plan for me and I’ve bought into that plan.

"The people that I’ve been blessed to run into, we managed to click. That’s when you know you’re on the right path. The people that are focal points of my life, we click and that makes me comfortable."

“How do I reach a goal that far exceeds what I’ve already reached? Going to the national championship, that was big. For me, now, I’m changing myself and challenging people around me to do better," said Robinson.

“Without the team, I can’t do what I do. Football is a team sport. It’s more about how can I help others, and if I do that, the sky is the limit. It’s a mature way, but it also makes sense. It’s a solid approach."

"When I sleep, I dream. That’s what I do for fun," Robinson said. "I work 24/7. When I go where I want to go, I’ll have fun then. Right now, everybody in the country knows this dude is putting in work. This dude is focused right now.

“I’ve been through what I’ve been through, but I’ve managed to keep a smile on my face."

“I’m just relaxing. People lose sight of life. I’m just trying to do what I was put on earth to do. I’m just a blessed individual to do that. I want to enjoy life, make good decisions," he said.

“I see myself being one of the greats. I won’t be forgotten. That’s one of the main things, I don’t want to be forgotten. I’ve always kept God first and I practice what I preach, so, if I keep those main morals, the sky is the limit. The sky is the limit. I don’t see anything stopping me.

Our o line should be pretty sick again next year with Kozan back. Coleman, Young, Miller, and Smith get another year. Hopefully Dampeer is good.

It may just be me, but is anybody else uneasy about JR after reading that?

Not knowing how Roc turns out, but we are in need of a talent like him at RB. He would start Sat if JR was on the team now.
