Apparently we offered K Ian Shannon
That doesn't sound good.

One K on scholarship is plenty. Unless he was offered as a preferred walk-on.

Well Carlson won all the kicking jobs so the writing may be on the wall that he will need some help next year

Which means we will still have 2 K and 1 P on scholarship. All with at least 3 years of eligibility.

With the 85 limit, that is 1 too many. Let's not revert back to the Tuberville days and start throwing scholarships at long-snappers.

JMO but the only way I see us going after Slayton again is if we lose Tony Bridges and I personally do not want to make that trade.

Why would we not be going after him now? I don't understand our recruiting strategy at all.

Maybe they will, maybe they won't. But IMO, there won't be many ranked ahead of him by the end of his season.

LINK*Greater Atlanta Christian WR Darius Slayton had eight receptions for 186 yards and three touchdowns in a 24-21 victory over Benedictine. His 63-yard TD reception was the game-winner.

*Hughes DE D'Andre Walker had four sacks in a 27-7 victory over previously 10th-ranked Mays of Class AAAAA. Mays was held to 134 yards in total offense, 81 of which came on one running play.

*Creekside's starting five on the offensive line - Marquel Harrell, Deandre Ford, Jacquon Nicholson, Aaron Dowdell and Venzell Boulware - paved the way for two 200-yard rushers in a 55-41 victory over South Cobb. Bricen Terry ran for 204 yards. Julian Gibbs rushed for 203.

*Tucker LB Elijah Sullivan had 2.5 tackles for losses, intercepted a pass and broke up a pass in a 32-29 loss to Norcross. Sullivan also scored on runs of 3 and 5 yards.

Staff wanted 2 CBs in this class and as of now they have 2 CBs in this class. This has been their plan since reports of expected position numbers takes came out 6 months ago.

Well one guy is a project and the other is a JUCO we will be lucky to sign. Slayton is an outstanding athlete and we have plenty of room.

Surprised we are content with 2 cbs. Seems like every db we sign we move to safety or star. Melton probably a career 2nd / 3rd stringer.
