MIAMI, Fla. -- Four-star receiver Da'Vante Phillips of Miami (Fla.) Central not only has Auburn in his top four, but he plans to officially visit the Tigers.

Phillips, the No. 8 receiver and No. 82 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, has a top four, in alphabetical order, of Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Ohio State. Florida State and Miami also are major contenders.

Phillips has no date set for his Auburn official. That likely will be scheduled sometime soon, possibly this week.

The 6-foot-2, 204-pound Phillips visited Auburn over the summer.
DP had a good game versus Hoover Saturday.

Not gonna judge kid on one performance but I don't think it's a shock that he needs work. Jeremy Johnson will more than likely be the guy in 2015 and 2016. That gives Queen 2 seasons to develop before battling White and whoever else we bring in before then.

Technically off. He was hurt late in the 2nd quarter after starting 5 of 14 passing. He came back in the late 3rd quarter completing 5 of his last 16 passes. I saw 15 of his passes on Rivals. He was wildly inconsistent. He got no help from his receivers either as they dropped 3 or 4 of the passes I saw.

Sooo UGA just got their 5th-6th WR commit, and Slayton is still out there. I think we offered him at CB originally. But he put on a display last weekend at WR. Well over 100yds and a few TD's. He is a 100/200 State Champ, do we offer as a WR? Have we? Offer as a ATH?

Whatever it takes to get him here is what we need to offer.

Good question buddy but IMO a bigger WR fish will want in after Sammie and Duke ball out this year and turn pro. JMO but the only way I see us going after Slayton again is if we lose Tony Bridges and I personally do not want to make that trade.
