LSU has 4 RPI Top 100 wins (realtimerpi) and we beat Butler in Orlando, not at home. I will say 1 of those definitely wont hold up though (UNO ).

Like I said though, disappointment is a bit much when they've only lost to Top 15 teams and just beat the #6 team in the country last night.
You can't use a win to refute a point when the win came after the article date. Good grief

Pressey was great last year the first 35 minutes of the game. The last 5 minutes he thought he had to go into hero mode and Mizzou lost several close games because of it.
Clarkson isn't the passer or playmaker, but he has better size and is a better scorer finisher. And he trusts his teammate (JBrown) at the end of games. Mizzou will be much more effective this year on the road and in close games.
And before yesterday I'd agree UK was the biggest disappointment. But after a big win against Louisville yesterday I think you'd have to give it to someone else. Looks like all their freshman and sophs are finally starting to come around and they could be scary good by the end of the season. I still think they'll lose a few more tough road games though.

It's not clear out and one on one though. It's high ball screen pick and rolls for the point guard to either take it to the hole, draw the D at the rim and dump it off to a big, or if a perimeter defender sags kick it out to a 3 point shooter. With Clarksons scoring and driving ability and Browns 3 point shooting I think that's just fine as an offense for our personnel. It's also more NBA-like so you can recruit by selling an NBA style offense.
Too many of our fans equate "good offense" with lots of passing and movement and "bad offense" with less. But a good offense is one that gets a good shot for the right player to shoot it. Our offense may not "move" as much but it gets our 3 best guys shots. Quin teams passed it around plenty then tended to chuck a wild contested shot. Clarkson is hard to stop when driving lane and our offense puts him in position to do that.
I don't disagree in general, though we went away from the high screens and did go to more of a clear out against NC State, though in general you're right. And Clarkson is great at finishing at the rim. Definitely his strength.
I would disagree though that we dump it off to a big because our bigs are not contributing much offensively. We also don't kick it out for a 3 very often. The offense is built around just driving to the rim, whether it's there or not and hopefully either scoring or drawing a foul. Unfortunately, I don't think that is the strength of Brown or Ross and it leads to more turnovers than anything else. The only one truly proficient at it is Clarkson. I just don't think Haith putting an emphasis on both Ross and Brown going to the rim so much is smart.
OT - Any chance I could get ya to email the mizzou board email ATX?

Still, don't care…Randle out of the game in 2cd half with full body cramps….we beat Louisville…no worry….no care.

Watching Mizzou last night vs NC State….who is #44?
How in the hell is Mizzou going to contain UK's front court?
Only team concerns me in match up rest of year is LSU.

Us having Jarell Martin (6'9, 241) at the 3 is going to cause almost every team we play matchup problems. He is a good jump shooter too.

Then you need to re-evaluate your concerns.

Ryan Rosburg. Role player who has actually improved since last year. Mizzou is absolutely struggling inside. JW3 has been solid. While not a banger, he has a nose for the ball on the boards. Post has been a complete bust, making us awfully thin up front. I'd bet at least 80% of our points, if not more, come from our guards, Clarkson, Brown and Ross. Rosburg won't score against y'all(or anyone), but he's there to play some defense, grab some boards, bang some guys around and get his 4 or 5 fouls per game. Someone else inside is going to have to stand up on the inside. Mizzou's biggest hope is the fact they get UK at home this year.

He's being one of those "40-0" homers if he doesn't. Arkansas could also give us some trouble with as aggressive as they've been. And we play Mizzou at Mizzou which isn't a guaranteed win (even though I think ultimately we do).
ETA: Florida will ultimately be our toughest matchup. LSU could surprise but that's about all he's right about IMO.

Belle…..
Come on now….you having hangover haze from slamming bourbon yesterday?
LSU, matches us up athletically in the front court….though, there midget guards will struggle with Young and Harrison height. LSU may get us in the Deaf Dome….they will come out of the swamps for this one.

Seems like you're the one with the hangover haze if you think Florida won't be a contest.
Posted on 12/29/13 at 1:38 pm to WildcatMike
LSU might present a tougher match up so don't disagree with you on that point. But I don't think that's the only tough game you have left, so I agree with Belle on that end.

I can see UK lose 3 more games.
The Fab 5 lost games…they did not run the Big 10.

Control Wilberken (aka, Russ Smith), you'll play well vs Florida.
