Yes. There's some major butthurt and/or denial coming out of Austin as a result.

wonder how far TAMU will fall without JFF. Still an exciting brand of offense, but A&M never jumped out at me as a ratings cow before.

This is what we've been yelling for the past 3 years. We were marginalized as frick in the big twatever. Now that we have a stage......BOOOOOM!!!

Yeah. As long as they put y'all on the teevee, y'all will bring some eyes.

We had such a bad first year that this Saturday will be our first game on CBS. And we ended up on ESPN2 a lot, too.

Should keep growing the SEC brand here in MO.

Obviously TAMU is a conservative, kind of mild-mannered school, so I don't think it jumps out at people like LSU or UF does. You guys even admit that outsiders aren't expected to really get how you do things. In time, competing in SEC games will likely raise the profile, and having success post-JFF would really keep up the momentum, obviously.

We sort of got shafted with the TV schedule this season. Not one CBS game, bad OOC games, bad kick off times.

Hats off to Alabama. Significantly better numbers than #2 Michigan.

And screw Michigan! That's disappointing.

Also it's worth noting that 8 of the top 11 are SEC teams. That's crazy.

You would prefer the title that is decided on the field and not a liberal arts major, which is the SEC. I know it eats at you like a parasite. You can post on here as if you dont care, but deep down it haunts your dreams. You are the trust fund baby that drives the porsche and lives in a mansion, but does meth and beats his wife because he knowS he didnt do anything to truly earn his wealth. You are jealous of the Auburns and LSU of the world, the people with the nice two story house and SUV that have earned every dollar they made and have the respect of others. DWI

So Alabama had 10 of 11 games rated, and averaged over 1.2 million viewers per game more than the 2nd place team....and Jay Jacobs claims Auburn as "America's team". ....are we talking delusional or what?

For a team that went 3-9 last year and had shitty early games while unranked that no one wanted to watch, yes we are America's team to rank that high

Auburn wasn't a big draw until after the aTm game - great numbers for their games against UGA and Bama

Alabama gets big numbers because we are the evil empire and people tune in to hopefully see us lose

Auburn appeased the masses

Nice try but the problem is CBS never carried 1 Mizzou game in the afternoon which is why their numbers are down compared to most of the big 6. They weren't buying that Mizzou was for real this year either and there were some marquee traditional match ups on saturdays when Mizzou was playing games/teams that would have drawn viewers. If they win the SECCG I would expect that to change a lot next year.

The SEC draws TWICE the viewership of the Pac-12 and roughly 33% more than the B1G.

They were talking about this earlier in the week. The market with the highest number of viewers for the Oregon/Stanford game this year was Birmingham, AL.

Sheesh ... think how low Mizzou would have rated had SCAR not done them the courtesy of traveling to CoMo this year and staging an exciting contest.
