Been saying this all week as well. AU has as bad of a schedule as Ala. Manziel was hurt and their D is horrible. LSU is the best team they played and lost easily by DD. Not to mention Miss St had them beat and Wash St could have too, both were in AU.

Did not realize those three plays that he missed were so crucial.

four or five plays, and they were pretty critical... there's certainly no guarantee things would've played out differently, though. Joekel had to come in on a 3rd and goal play... JFF may or may not have scored a TD then.

Fair assessment.

aside from beat Texas A&M (and that game would have gone differently if Manziel hadn't been hurt).
Easiest excuse to make about that game. 434VOL trying to find ways to discredit a difficult road win. Not like Manziel was hurt for a full quarter.. more like 3 minutes.

Been saying this all week as well.
I could preach that Alabama isn't 8-0 but that doesn't make it true.

AU has as bad of a schedule as Ala.
Nope.. our schedule has been tougher because we haven't had to play Tennessee yet.

quote:

Manziel was hurt
Ahh the classic "I haven't watched much AU so I'll go back to the Manziel was hurt point"

quote:

their D is horrible.
Tennessee definitely sets the world on fire though.

LSU is the best team they played and lost easily by DD.
LSU lost to Ole Miss and has yet to play aTm. Not buying this statement yet. Plus on the road early in the year, raining, no team identity yet, can lead to trouble.

Not to mention Miss St had them beat
My favorite type of statement.. had them beat.. but did they beat us? fricking no.

quote:

and Wash St could have too
But did they? Nope.

quote:

both were in AU.

Good thing this game is played in Knoxville then.

Classic.

No mention of the injuries to UGA & USCe when they played?

Is Tennessee's scout site as bad as ITAT? There is a tremendous amount of homerism up there.

Snagged this from an article
quote:

Tennessee's players say they're getting a boost from the familiarity that Thigpen and Martinez have with Auburn's roster.

"(Martinez) knows some of the players," Tennessee safety Brian Randolph said.

"He knows their personality, he knows their strengths and stuff like that, so he tries to tell us a little bit. It definitely does (help) when you have a coach who knows their offense so well. I think it works to our advantage."
I really hope Willie is telling all our secrets from last year's offense

Thigpen and Martinez will have that Vol's D so keyed in on our QBs Kiehl Frazier and Jonathan Wallace, we'll have no chance of scoring

i'm starting to get nervous about this game honestly

no real reason why, just have a weird felling about it

we'll probably win though. I like to think this team is different than past auburn teams and won't lose games they shouldn't

I'm nervous about every game. I'm still not a believer that we are a top10 team and UT has had a brutal schedule. To make a bowl this year, they need to win 2 of their next 3 games (and Vandy has had their # as of late). We have virtually no film on Eyebrowless One and the Vol's OL is legit.

All that said, we have the better team and our strengths match up with their weaknesses. :fingerscrossed:

i feel the exact same way. i feel like we are a good team, but for some reason i just doubt how good we are.

that said, we are a better team. we should win. i guess we'll see in about 12 hours
