Fair enough. I am liking the defensive effort more and more. If they keep it up, we will have a chance most nights.

Now this bunch needs to practice layups and FTs.

Very good comeback on the road though.

@Bill_Byrne thx so much for the opportunity to coach here. For hanging with me. A ways to go but getting there. Thx

Is it too early to talk about a raise and an extension for BK?

If Bill Byrne is still making those decisions we have bigger problems than BK's coaching.

No, I just can't stand his condescending arse, or the fran and sherman buyouts he saddled us with.

It is a win win. If Kennedy makes the dance, we are all happy. If he fails to make the postseason, he is fired and we get a new coach.

Well hell, good for Kennedy and crew. I'll be honest, I thought the team was done after the UNT debacle. That was some of the crappiest, most lackadaisical-arse basketball I'd ever seen. I thought they'd quit on the season. Major kudos for getting back up and taking down 2 solid opponents, one of them on the road (best of all, it keeps the Watkins@Reed curse alive haha).

Let's see what happens. Because we played a weak, weak non-conf and then underperformed, I feel like it's going to take a 10-8 or even an 11-7 SEC season to make the NIT. I'm not sure we can pull that off, but we'll see.

The SEC may be worse than last season in terms of basketball. Top 3 is the minimum for a dance card. Top 5 is the minimum for the NIT.

The real question is if the Ags dont make the big dance (long shot that they won't), does Kennedy get the benefit of the doubt for the SEC dragging us down?

Maybe if they go deep into the NIT. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Traded a wrong pick on a loss for a wrong pick on a win. No change.

Not gonna make it into a tournament with losses like this.

I felt uneasy about today's game after Dylan Johns enter the game, even if only for an instant.

Caruso and Roberson have stayed out of foul trouble all year, yet somehow they both foul out in today's game.

When we hit the double bonus in fouls with 2 seconds left in OT vs when they got theirs...you gotta wonder about the refs. That said, this loss should not have occurred.

Very frustrating loss.

Bad reffing happens, especially on the road. You have to fight through it.

Point is, we choked away a late seven point lead due to a bevy of turnovers in the last 5mins and that horrendous decision not to call a timeout with 27s left or whatever. Those were all under our control and we screwed them up. That doesn't change the crappy reffing, but we put ourselves in a position where it could hurt it. If we'd taken care of the ball and made good decisions, it would merely be a footnote

We witnessed some very poor decision-making in the final minute of regulation:

-The failure by Miller to protect the ball after what should have been a key rebound. Find the open man or call a timeout in that spot. We had two timeouts remaining. MSU gets the easy layup to tie it up and we miss out on our final possession in regulation.

-The failure by Space to take one for the team and try to take on the foul that was called on Caruso. Instead of Space raising his hand to claim the foul, we had Caruso pointing at Space and in effect saying, 'He did it.'^ Instead, Caruso fouls out and takes a seat on the bench. Space did not record a foul today. He should have been aware that Caruso was in foul trouble and tried to take credit for the foul.

^Even though we lost, Caruso's expression at that moment was priceless.
