I'm but a mere mortal, and unlike many ranters I'm not blessed with coach-vision. To me Landry has made so many incredible catches that even though he's not as physically dominant as some prolific receivers he's better than anyone I've seen this year. I'm looking to the Rant to fill me in on the guys who are better than Landry. Thanks much!

depends on what you are looking for and what you want.

Evans is awesome but I want landry on my team any day of the week. Dude is so solid. He catches everything, not afraid of going over the middle, solid route runner. I could go on

There's not a receiver on another team that I would pick over Landry. He's amazingly strong, runs great routes, makes amazing catches.

He plays with so much heart.

Kid is awesome. Glad he and OBJ are Tigers.

Better? None

I really dig Sammy Watkins games though.

Most of y'all have backed up what I thought which is cool - even though Evans is a powerful physical presence I'd still rather have Landry who I've never seen a ball come towards him which was too hard to catch! He sort of reminds me of a more athletic Welker.

Sammy Watkins and Marquise Lee are better. Just more talanted and overall better players. Mike Evans is much much bigger and wins so many battles based on size alone. Depends what you are looking for but I'd love either, I give slight edge to Evans though. Jordan Matthews and Moncrief are also people I'd throw out there, both great wideouts but neither are really similar to Landry so hard to say who is necessarily "better".

Sammy Watkins, Rashad Greene, Mike Evans, and Marquis Lee are all legit, and probably have a better case at WR than Landry.

And, of course, Odell too.

Jarvis Landry is the most consistent receiver playing right now.

Evans has greater size, Watkins has greater speed.

I'd still take Landry every day of the week & twice on Saturdays. (And Beckham)

There are other great receivers who are different - faster, taller, more able to get separation. Landry is a possession receiver, and he is, without question, the best of his type.

OBJ is a great complement, because of his speed and elusiveness. Look how wide open he was on those 15 yard outs! That's from fear of his deep routes. Kudos to the oline, too, for giving Mett a pocket he could step up in to throw that route.
