No, as a VCU fan, I don't want Shaka to leave for anywhere, whether LSU plays them or not. Unless he came to LSU, which I know he wouldn't, but I could still dream. Plus it was fun to get a rise out of my friends and family.

John Brady was a good coach IMO. Maybe not the best recruiter, but a solid coach.

That's the plan.
If Walker qualifies as planned and some currently suspended guys stay out of trouble, we'll be loaded.
Wilbekin / Hill
Frazier / Carter (Rutgers transfer) / Graham
Finney-Smith (VT transfer) / Prather / Devon Walker
Yeguete / Chris Walker
Young / Harris (USCe transfer)
Some guys are suspended the first three games so it will be a rough out. (Wilbekin, FS, and Harris). Walker isn't eligible until January (God willing)
In a way, I'm glad Hill can start playing right away with Scottie out. The kid will be great. Carter was a most needed addition.
I honestly feel we are FF bound.
Go Gators!

Twany Beckham had some interesting things to say about that State team in the book he released. Nothing direct but pretty much implied chaos.
We've said this for years.
That's why we've got ONE player that ever saw the court under Stansbury remaining on Ray's team IN YEAR TWO.
It's a long rebuild -- but the culture on the team was terrible.

You my friend don't know jack. This will be by far the best team LSU has put on the court in years. We finally have size, length and depth to go along with everyone we had last year other than Carmouche.

I'll have to see it to believe it. Maybe with a great coach but I'm not sold on Johnny Jones.

So they will finally make it past the first round with way less talent? Makes sense.

Sarcasm? I thought from watching B.J. Young that he was a ball hog, and the offense flowed MUCH more smoothly when he wasn't in the game. Plus yall have a top 10 or so recruiting class coming in.

I'm expecting Mizzou to make the tournament again for the 6th year in a row. Depending on how some of the new guys work out and without a PG that thinks he's a SG we might be even better.
We lose: Pressey, Oriakhi, Bowers, Bell, Webster-Chan, and Bull.
WC and Bull transfered but aren't big loses, Pressey was a double edge sword for Mizzou. Great play-making ability but in close games he tried to be the hero and he would forget he had teammates that were better at scoring than him. He might not be missed as much as some think. Replacing Bowers and Oriakhi will be a little bit more interesting but we have plenty of options.
We add:
Jordan Clarkson - Combo guard that transfered from Tulsa and sat out last year.
Wes Clark - 4 Star PG (72nd by rivals)
Shane Rector - 3 Star PG (NR)
Jonathan Williams III - 4 Star PF (42nd by rivals)
Torren Jones - 3 Star PF (123rd by rivals)
Keanau Post - 4 Star C Juco
Those new guys plus Jabari Brown, Earnest Ross, Tony Criswell, Ryan Rosburg, and a healthy Stefan Jankovic should give us more than enough talent to be a tournament team again.
Mizzou's Non-con Schedule:
Southeast Louisiana
Southern Illinois
Hawaii (In K.C.)
Gardner-Webb
IUPUI
Northwestern (In Vegas)
Nevada (In Vegas)
West Virginia
UCLA
Western Michigan
Illinois (in St. Louis)
@NC State
Long Beach St.
Our non-conference schedule has easier games first which should help the new guys find their roles and gel with the more experienced players, some chances for good wins against other power conference teams, and Mizzou did a better job this year of avoiding too many of the likely 275+ rpi anchors.
We should be 12-1 or 13-0 entering conference play with a good or at least decent RPI and SOS.

Ya'll did decent last year with an easy schedule and easy SEC schedule. But I'm looking back at his mediocre record at North Texas, where he only made the tournament 2 times in 11 years. He is a good recruiter so far though.
