You left out the best QB of them all.

JFF QB rating 297.5 threw 3 TD passes.

TCU has the #1 ranked secondary in the nation. Last year, their record was skewed because their QB had substance abuse problems and missed half or more of the season in rehab. Their defense is a VERY good defense and their secondary is their strength.

Last year TCU had the #16 total defense. Vandy had the #19 total defense.

Scoring defense Vandy was 15. TCU was 30.

Vandy passing defense last year was 14. TCU was 42.

LINK

Vanderbilt defense was good last year. Its only been one game so I wont argue about this year because neither of us know.

Main thing was that this was LSU's first game but Mett looked like he had already played two games.

This. Mett was not making first game mistakes. He didn't look rusty; he was sharp. I'll gladly beat the dead horse and reiterate that there were dropped balls and throw aways. You can't just look at the statline.

JFF didn't even play half a game. If we're including partial games then Dylan Thompson is at the top with a QBR of 673.6

Get back to us in December after UF has taken the noles behind the woodshed and maybe wins the SECCG if they get pass USC.

Your celebrity actor star is a great benefactor to the girls school and with his help & $$$ the Florida State College for Women can now lay claim to the title "Clown & Circus Acts College" Such a great liberal arts school.

By normal standards, Mett wasn't even that great. I know he looked awesome in comparison to what they usually get out of their QBs, but that doesn't change the fact that he was pretty inconsistent last night.

Please tell me how he was inconsistent? Just admit you didn't watch the game you looked at his stat line right dumbass? He threw at least 5 balls away instead of making a dumb decision and had about 3-4 drops. Considering that his stat line would have been exceptional!

1. JFF looked electric still.
2. Murray - Completed 70%, 300+ yards. 0 TD's and 1 INT but against toughest opponent of the weekend.
3. Franklin - Completed 68%, 300+ yards, 3 TD's and 0 Int. Yes, against Murray State but you only asked who looked the best so far.
4. Allen - Completed 68%, 3 TD's and 0 Int's.
5. Joeckel - In one half, completed 73%, almost 200 yards, 1 TD and 0 Int's. Not bad given late notice of getting the start.

Slow your roll, bro.

I admit I was switching between UGA/Clemson and TCU/LSU most of the game, but from what I saw, Mett looked inconsistent. He would make one great throw downfield and then overthrow an open receiver.

And yes, his statline would've been better had his WRs not dropped a few passes. So would've Driskel's. Solomon Patton had a 25 yard pass with no one anywhere near him bounce off his hands. That probably would've ended up in a ~40 yard TD.

Yes, it does.

Driskel > Mett

Anyone who argues otherwise needs to go DIAF.

No, that was true.

Your comment about TCU's secondary being the best LSU will face all season was funny. Hilarious, in fact.

Driskel is probably better than Mett at fooseball. I assume Driskel is better than Mett at everything.

Except getting away with sexual assault. Mett is a pro in that respect.
