I think the only two with an argument are Mett and Manziel, and Mett looked good for an entire game.

I think both of our QB's did excellent Thursday. So no, they aren't the only two.

WRs had a lot of dropped balls, that's the big reason Metts completion % was down.
TCU DB's had a lot of break-ups as well.

This isn't last year, chief.

One of the better DB groups in the country. Verrett may be the best we face.

I wasn't making a case for manziel, and I certainly wasn't putting Mett down. I was just surprised at McCarron with his numbers being up there. Good QB...does a great job, but this wasn't one of his better games. No offense to him OR his team.

TCU has the #1 ranked secondary in the nation. Last year, their record was skewed because their QB had substance abuse problems and missed half or more of the season in rehab. Their defense is a VERY good defense and their secondary is their strength.

Manziel is by far the best playmaker in the SEC. I don't think he'll be playing the whole season though.

No specific order...
JFF is still a dangerous force to be reckoned with. If he is off passing you still have to account for him running. He will be dangerous if he doesn't get kicked out and stays healthy.
Mett's stat line was misleading. He threw everything on target with exception of about 4-or 5 he intentionally threw away due to coverage. The others were mostly defended well by the DB's. He took two sacks - one his own fault for not accounting for the safety blitz and the other on the RB for not picking up the blitz.
Murray was caught in a dog fight (no pun intended)and made a couple of mistakes but that was all it took for Clemson to get on top.
McCarron - Did not get to see much of this game but when I did he was getting chased more than I have ever seen while he has been the starting QB. When he played us in the past he was very good at throwing the ball away and making it back later...
Russell - looked terrible what I saw.
UK - doesn't have a QB. Would be better off running the Wildcat (again no pun intended) all game.
Shaw - looked about the same as last year for what I saw.

I know TCU has a good defense and I was very impressed with Mett.He has the best chance to be successful in the NFL of all the SEC QB's.I just think people need to calm down on him and let him play football.
