I like Buford a lot. Wish we would have gone after him.

Vandy also got a commitment from Wade Baldwin, a solid all-around SG. He's a low 4*/high 3*.

I don't know about SEC basketball recruiting in years past, but certainly seems to be solid recruiting classes so far for all I've seen. Congrats!

Yes, got updated by Rivals: 3* and 123 in the Rivals150. He's also now a 78-grade 3* per ESPN, so pretty much a high 3* by 3 of the 4 online services. Both our current commits for the 2014 class are Rivals 150 prospects....hopefully we can still pull in Buford....

Solid work. I look forward to the day the SEC is recognized as an all around athletic conference. Not just football and baseball.

Encroaching on SLU's recruiting grounds.

Seriously though, Majerus had recruited a couple/few guys from Australia/New Zealand that turned out to be pretty solid players. I see the kid is 6'8". Anything else?

Looks like he grew and got better since the other article I read on him.

ETA - Every other article I read on him says 6'8"

Fox's recruiting has been an absolute trainwreck. He's a good coach, but no coach can overcome losing out on all of his top targets year-in and year-out.

SEC still doing work. I didn't pay close attention to Vandy's class last year but wasn't it solid too? Or am I thinking of their freshman class from last year? Or both? Or neither?

Exhibit A: Mizzou losing David Lee and Bradley Beal.

Vandy's last really good recruiting class was in 2011 (Kedren Johnson, Dai-Jon Parker, Josh Henderson).

Their 2012 class was probably a bit underrated but all three players from that class are already gone.

The 2013 class isn't bad, but it's small with only two players (4* PF/C Damian Jones and late-bloomer PF Luke Kornet).
