Congrats on Ulis. He'll be solid. I had other issues with Pressey here but being 5'9" wasn't one of them. He'll be a damn good player with all the talent around him. I know there are some really upset MSU fans right now. The few I talked to really thought they had Ulis and Booker sewn up when they visited together. We'll see what happens with Booker.

And yeah, would love to have UK access if you don't mind putting it up for a vote. Much appreciated.

Thanks

And FYI, Cal just had an in home with Stanley Johnson. Apparently it went well and he likes Ulis at UK.

I still put us back in the list with Booker. You said it and I know I've heard it in the past, but it seems like his mom is a driving force behind the decision. More so than his dad. And it sounds like she wants him in state somewhere. Good luck with Johnson. Certainly helps our cause if you guys can land him(though I don't know he'll sign in the early period).

Mizzou has Ahmed Hill out of Georgia coming in I think the first weekend of October. Booker has his official visit one weekend. Next weekend is the reunion/throwback game honoring Booker's dad that I think Booker will be at. Then the following weekend Hill comes in. I'm hopeful we round out our class by that weekend. My bet is we miss on Booker and land Hill as he wants to play with Gant.

It'll be interesting to see what he does with his Dad favoring Mizzou and Mom favoring MSU. Does he pick Kentucky to avoid upsetting the boat?

90% of the time I go with Momma unfortunately for the both of us.

Momma always gets her way. In this case, it seems she's just more insistent too. Dad I think would love for him to go to Mizzou but I think dad is pretty much leaving it to him. Who knows. Last I heard though, he wanted to decide early though. Don't know if that has changed.

Reedus, I think I read somewhere (Twitter maybe) that Booker had his in-home with Mizzou. I'll pass along if I hear anything.

No problem. Also you should have access to the UK board now. Holler at me if you're not able to post.

Many thanks. I'll drop in and say hi.

It's sounding more and more like it might be Hill for Mizzou (knocking on wood) and I'd be happy with that. Haith just had his in-home with Hill and just read that he cancelled his visit to Indiana now. Mizzou board is saying it's now down to Mizzou and Marquette. Didn't go back and look and can't remember off the top of my head if he had officially named a top 3 before or not.

Kid will be ineligible if the NCAA does any snooping.

Saw that UK brought a contingent down to his open gym this week. Seems Booker was impressed with how many came. Regardless of where he ends up, just reading his words, I'd 100% say that the coach he's most impressed with, almost in awe of, is Coach Cal. He may end up elsewhere for other reasons, but it won't be because he likes the other coaches more.

Yeah I think the kid legitimately likes UK and Cal. We need to get Momma on board but she has an Izzo crush.

Has a better chance at what at SLU?

I don't think there's much chance he ends up at SLU even if his old man played there. Though, I will say, Calbert Cheaney was a great hire for them. Have already heard him making the rounds too. Good for SLU!!!

way better then you would think, in fact, Jayson helped SLU in recruiting Roby (they are good friends). Do I think he chooses SLU no, but they will finish in his top few.

Oh I agree. Wouldn't be surprised if SLU is mentioned all the way to the end out of respect for his dad's alma mater. A lot like Booker in that sense(though I like to think Mizzou had/has a legitimate shot instead of just lip service).

I think it's a long shot. My impression(and it's just reading between the lines, nothing solid) is that the kid probably likes UK and Coach Cal the most. His mom probably likes MSU the most but would live with Michigan as an alternative. Dad probably would love to see Mizzou. So the question becomes which of those competing interests wins out. I don't think Melvin is putting a lot of pressure on him to choose Mizzou, so I think we're a long shot. Mom's been pretty strong in wanting him to play close to her. Not sure the edge UK has with Booker is enough to over ride mom because he does like MSU and Michigan as well.

Personally would be thrilled with him or Hill.
