The sips offered RB Tristian Houston and he committed on the spot. 247 has him as the lowest level 4-star but he's a composite midlevel 3-star. Find it an exceptionally odd take right now as they already have Stevenson and seemed to be in on some other guys.
Doesn't look like he participated in the NTFC so no combine numbers. I really like them taking guys we had no interest in. Loving all this out of state recruiting they are doing.

He has a few real offers. It's not like he sucks. It's just he's roughly rated as about the 10th best RB in Texas. He's the kind of guy you want to have camp or something I'd think. Apparently they are trying to take 4 RBs

DIdnt insinuate he sucked, a 90 on 247 is nothing to sneeze at, Just thought 247 rating him in beer mugs was a funny error. Why no other instate offers?

sorry, wasn't insinuating you said or thought that, just wanted to be clear that I was not suggesting that.
I think his lack of offers is mostly due to there being so many good backs in state this year. Between Anderson, Soso, Hasty, Bradford, Jones, Gray and others, there are some very good backs that just aren't getting much interest. The kid Tech got (forget his name) is another like that. Just a really deep pool this year.

Yet another episode of how to win friends and influence people by Charlie Strong.
Strong just now got around to pulling Johnny Shaw's offer. Shaw was such a strong evaluation by Brown's crew, he didn't start last year as a JR (he transferred to WOS and couldn't beat out the safeties in front of him). He was told he can camp this summer and try to re-earn the offer.
I guess it took so long because they were waiting on his JR film but it turns out there wasn't any. Don't worry Coach, there is no talent in the triangle area so don't worry about pissing them off. Check out his timeline
