Some cornerback results. Weird so few of them ran 40s

Jaylon Lane measured 6'1" 177 but didn't participate in anything but vertical (36.1)

Holton Hill 6'2" 184, 4.25 shuttle, 35.8 vert

Mbanasor 6'0.5" 175, 4.37 shuttle

wouldn't that hurt them by not running the 40?

Looks like slow tracks if you look at results from some of the other guys that did run

depends. Running a 40 requires good form. Results can be pretty varied. Lot of high school football players don't really train hard off-season.

I know one of the big trainers and he told me one of his guys wasn't going to run because he tested incredibly poorly the week leading up to the combine. He felt it was better to have no time than a bad time.

Probably. May have scared a few off. Bradford ran a 4.44 after running 4.48 at the NFSC a month ago (which tied Sheffield for fastest time). He's middle of track season though and I know his 100 time has improved significantly throughout the season. He's closing in on peak form so maybe he could hit 4.4 flat on a good track

Got some Boyd info. I'm not sure it's the complete story but it's at least plausible.

Boyd is not a hard worker in practice or in the classroom. He can have a little attitude and he was kicked off the team for this (though he's already back). His HS coach likes him but he's just a bit of a problem child.

If you know anything about our staff, they hate guys that don't work in practice. It's their belief that elite players are elite players because they work to be elite. Jerry Rice. Peyton Manning. Mike Evans.

Boyd was told he needs to show maturity on and off the field. He needs to practice hard. He needs to study. He needs to show that he wants to be an elite player. If he does, he will receive an offer.

if he shows all of it and gets an offer, think he still becomes an ag? or do you think us not offering him has turned him away from us
