Florida 5* RB Jacques Patrick has scheduled his first official visit, and it's to the good guys for the rice game. He wasn't really on the radar for us until recently, but apparently really hit it off with our commits/targets at the opening. It's been said before but many national analysts said that A&M was THE TEAM buzzing with recruits there.

Kid is built like a linebacker being 6-1, 225/230ish. Florida kids I don't know too much about but I watched his tape just now and for his size he's got great balance and vision for a back. The only thing you could knock is that he runs a little bit straight up but can't deny he's got the other tools working for him. Would be a terrific replacement for losing Anderson a couple months ago although I'd still rather have Merritt (if he wanted to play in the backfield) because he's such a talent with his hands as a receiver as well....

Merritt recently said he prefers WR. Damien Harris from KY is rated a little higher, but living in ky I can tell you hs football competition is poor. This appears to be a battle between Florida state, Alabama, and us. Jay Bradford and he would compliment each other well. Every commit is coming for the rice game and christian kirk as well.

I noticed that too. It's gonna be a red carpet VIP type of atmosphere for recruits when we play Rice. Damn. I forgot for a minute that Damien Harris liked us too. Can't lose either way with either one of those guys.
