Reason I was looking for this was to do math on where we might be...

114 Suites @ approximately $2m per = $228m (80% of the suites were between $1m-3m per TMF and 12 were $10m+)
Student use fee = $75m
City of CS tax hike = $36m
Prime West Legacy Club @ $15k/seat = $15m (swagging # of seats)
Prime West Field Box @4k/seat = $8m
West Legacy Club @10k/seat = $15m
Loge boxes @5k/seat = $7.5m

That would be $384.5m only counting the super high end seating. I think it's extremely likely we'll have the entire $450m committed before this season starts without counting any Seat License Revenue which would then be funneled into OpEx.

Jollie Rollie coming down today. They have a live construction cam on the kylefield site but I can't figure out how to imbed it. Here's the LINK

Sort of sad for me as I walked there. I imagine a lot of others did too but not sure when they moved it to Reed.

Gotta say. That's an impressive undertaking and to get it done by 2015 with hardly any interruption to regular season games is all that much more impressive. The renderings look unbelievable. I'm trying to sift through the kylefield.com site to figure out what they are planning with each phase. Does anyone have a quick synopsis of what each phase will bring and when those phases are going to be done? Many thanks.

The computer lab in Read/Rollie was my go to when I needed something printed quickly since it was always a ghost town

Rollie also served as my bookstore for a couple years during MSC renovations

sure Reedus - that's an excellent question that I know a lot of us Ags know but don't guess it's anywhere in this thread so it def should be addressed
quote:

• Phase I (November 2013): Demolition of the first deck of the east side of the stadium, re-construction of the first deck, and construction of the south endzone, which will include seating, media interview areas, 12th Man Productions and related gameday support, a commissary and recruiting area.

• Phase II (November 2014): Demolition of the entire west side of the stadium, complete construction of the south endzone, and re-construction of the west side.

• Grand Opening (August 2015)

Minor demolition work is being done now and the building above is our old basketball gym (we moved to Reed Arena in 1998 so it's been a general purpose building since). That picture is of the Northeast corner of Kyle Field. For anyone familiar with our campus, it appears to be taken several stories up in Rudder Tower. I added the rendering from essentially the same angle above.

The old weight room (Netum Steed) which is in the Southwest corner will be demo'd after this season
quote:

On Monday, Nov. 11, demolition around the stadium will consist of the Netum Steed facility and the south end zone video board, as well as the east side ramps and the first deck on the east side. Demolition work on the north end zone façade will also begin at this time, followed by the Monday, Nov. 25 demolition of the playing field.

The playing field will be lowered and moved slightly to improve site lines throughout the stadium.

For 2014, the new South End Zone will be in place. The Press Box will also be moved to the East Side. The 2nd and 3rd decks on the East Side will remain as is (this is our student section). So the the entire East Side reno should be completed as pictured in the OP. The expected capacity for 2014 will be 109,000. The large number of club seats going into the West Side will reduce it back to 102,500 for the 2015 season.

That's truly remarkable. So the demo I saw being discussed was more or less prep work. Actual construction won't begin until after this season if I have that right. Are they re-doing the entire south end zone in one phase, to be ready for the 2014 year then? Really is an impressive feat to get that much work done and not disrupt the season.

Are you aware of any renderings of what the stadium will look like for the 2014 season, with just the Phase 1 renovations? Everything I pull up seems to be the complete renovations. Absolutely love the look of the completed ones though.

correct. There are a number of buildings built over the years that attach to or are in very close proximity to Kyle and all of those are goners.

There is no south end zone today. Kyle has forever been a horseshoe. We've had temporary bleachers put in the South for a few years now because we ran out of capacity. However, both Netum Steed and the scoreboard have to be demo'd because they are where the new seating will be.

I'm not. My guess is 3/4 of the stadium will look like the renderings and the West will look like it does today.

I think it would we pretty cool if we could post some old Kyle photo's to the site ... especially since this is pinned. Even better if we could insert them either at the beginning of the thread or after the first rendering of pics. Don't know if that's possible but it might be good info for the Ranters...just my two cents.

I loved G Rollie. I walked there back in 94 amidst tornado warnings.

Sad to see her go. My main buildings are gone/remodeled.

Moore Hall: torn down for some swank super dorm.
DeWare: the finest gym ever. Hot and loud to keep the pansies away.
G Rollie: that was high fidelity back then
Steed: got to work out there. It was awesome.
Creamery on west campus: torn down. Made Blue Bell seem second rate.

Got ya. What I was wondering was if they were going to get all 3 levels done in the south endzone all this offseason or do they plan on getting the first level done and closing it off in Phase 1 and then putting the upper tiers in during Phase 2. Sounds like they're going to do it all in Phase 1 though, which maybe I'm crazy, but that is pretty astonishing. Kind of wish Mizzou had 1 more trip to CS to see the place after all the changes.

Crazy to me, because that jumbotron is still very new. My fish year ('06) was its first year of operation.

Crazy how much has and will change. I remember Deware and the swimming pool. I've got pictures of me at the old Rev graves and the eternal flame when I was still ten.

Me too

I barely recognize some parts of campus when my little brother sends me pics, and I haven't been gone long at all.

I'll drop these into the first page when I get a chance to think about how to present it

{Note: Kyle Field historical pics moved to first page - don't want to clutter up every page with them}

Love seeing the progression. I know there's discussion of tearing down the old Hearnes Center(basketball) at Mizzou and of course there's a lot of talk about keeping/removing the Rock M. It's a tough balance between maintaining some of the history yet also staying ahead of the curve with facilities. Seems to me A&M is doing it right.

Y'all got a lot of $$$ rolling in Texas to raise those kind of monies so fast btw.
