That thing is beautiful. It's gonna be huge too. That's only the press box, the canopy goes above it.

Obviously not really A&M related, but apparently OU is going to expand the Gaylord to 90k - but for a rather astonishing $350-400m. There will also be a few more suites and they are upgrading the current ones.
I'm sure they've got a plan but Gaylord was not as outdated as Kyle. We paid for it by adding about 60 new suites and a ton more club seating. They are only adding about 8k endzone seats and remodeling suites. And our tickets ran about twice the price of theirs so even upping them 25% or something is not going to get them anywhere close. And to top it off there is no demand from traveling opponents.
There is a facility war afoot and I'm going to be very interested in OU in particular. Can they keep up? Or are they trying to do too much? I honestly thought we were at $450 but that turned out okay. But this is a bit cold war-ish and someone eventually is going to bankrupt themselves.
