Just to sum up everything being done for 2014...

LSU

(1) $80 million expansion of Tiger Stadium: added 66 suites, 3,000 club seats, 1,500 general seats, 1,500 standing room only spaces.

Also redoing both home and visitors locker rooms...

...as well as adding new ribbon boards and signs...

...LSU has completely resealed the concrete throughout Tiger Stadium, and removed and/or replaced seating as necessary...

...and finished landscaping the area around Tiger Stadium...

(2) Currently building new indoor tennis facility, one of the largest and most state of the art facilities in the country:

(3) Starting work on new gymnastic practice facilities:

(4) Completed work on renovating the Carl Maddox Field House:

I imagine the athletic nutrition center will be happening soon as well. Alleva really seems to be pushing that.

Ole Miss broke ground on the new arena today. LSU's going to have the worst arena in the SEC after we tear down our old one. Are there any plans to replace the Maravich Center?

There is nothing wrong with the pmac except no suites. It's not bend new but it's in good shape and certainly not the worst. Some lsu dude definitely fricked your girlfriend.

Indeed. Also, I completely forgot to mention that the women's basketball team had their locker room redone and added a new team lounge as well.

quote:

On a budget of $575,000, the women’s basketball locker rooms will undergo a renovation, which will include the addition of a team lounge and refurbishing of existing locker areas.

These enhancements are meant to provide student athletes with a more contemporary environment and assist in the recruitment of prospective student athletes, said Emmett David, associate athletic director for Facility and Project Management.

Currently in design, the renovation will begin once the women’s basketball season ends this March.

Hopefully we'll be able to unveil the new Dudy Noble in here in the next month or so. Rumor is that the official unveiling is getting fairly close...and that a grandstand demo and fresh start is almost just a formality at this point...

^This. The PMAC is an awesome facility that was built before premium seating became the big deal it is today. It's an awesome facility to watch basketball, volleyball, or gymnastics in.

It also offers some very nice benefits for those with premium seating...

PMAC Legends Club

PMAC Courtside Club

The Legends club is behind Portal P's concession stand. The Courtside Club is by the Northwest entrance of the PMAC where the basketball team comes out of the locker room.

I really like the aTm etching on the glass, looks great. But what kind of cladding are they putting up between the brick columns? Seems out of place.

How charged up are the Aggies and Gamecocks about getting to be the very first football game on the SECN?

Anyone know if they're gonna put glass in the arches to hide the stairs from the outside? I hope they do, looks kinda odd currently.

Looking at that, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if there were not a few people who picked up a second major to have that 5th (or 6th) year, just to be in there this fall.
