ETA: Blue did not win the appeal, his coach told PK that his 9th and 10th grades were so bad they wouldn't let him in.

Besides Pellage announcing for SC on Friday, Sandifer talked to PK recently and said his Top 3 are SC, uf, and bama.

Everyone seems to be thinking that we'll take Pellage and Bailey, but the tater insiders all think Bailey is a sure thing their way. Sandifer and the Tenn. prospect Gilliam may be fall-back plans. Just think: once we had Veal, Bailey, Green, McGirt, Giella, etc. all as strong leans towards USC. We may end up not getting one of them. But that's recruiting sometimes....

McGirt just decommited (or is strongly looking around) from UNC due to their impending NCAA investigation. So he might still be in play. But I think we'll at least get Bailey out of that group.

He dropped USC from his final list shortly before committing to UNC, and I don't think we're back in it now. IMO it's between UGA and NC State....

Is there a 5* we might snag in this class? One that maybe we've got a good shot at landing?
We need a 5* somewhere in this class to solidify it in the rankings.

Blackshear and Fields could get a bump up to a 5*. Paris Palmer is a candidate, too, but that would be a helluva jump.
We are not currently on the short list for any 5* that I know of at the moment. Huggins is just below a 5*.

I wonder why we're such a long shot for that kid. I get the whole prima donna thing ... but word is that he is really stand-offish to our coaches to the point where maybe they're just ready to walk away.

This is awesome news to start the week on. We have put together a great OL classs this cycle. We'll have four 4*'s once Palmer is graded on ESPN and Scout.

It's always a good thing to have some Gamecock Commits at the Under Armour or US Army All American Games. This year we'll have a our fair share again, but we might have more than usually.
