Agreed, would be surprised if he doesen't commit to Arky at this point. Our current RB stable is crazy, we have an outside shot for Joe Mixon, and Varshaun Nixon is already a better back in 2014 class.
Looking ahead with Anderson already comitted for 2015, and a strong chance we pull in a second 2015 RB, Shorter would make a much bigger splash in Fayetteville than College Station.

It's Arky from by piggy friends...great pickup for them. Unless we get Mixon (really, really) outside shot...I'd think we're done at RB for 2014.

Lets not act like Arkansas is short on talent in the backfield right now man.
#1 RB in nation in last years class Alex Collins.
4* Jonathan Williams slotted in the starting role right now.
Its the SEC....most all contending teams have competition in the backfield. Incoming recruits are going to have competition no matter where they choose in this league.

No doubt we would take his commitment. He cooled on us for some reason but I think he would fit great in our offense. I think we really pushed for the commit from Rodney Anderson after it became apparent Shorter would not be joining the fold.

You could not be more right.
Didn't mean to discredit Arky, I'm not familiar with your RB situation. I just think A&M wants 2 2015 RBs and only 1 2014 RB now, which we already have. Joe Mixon would always be welcome on the very slim shot he picks us though

I dont think Jesus knows where Mixon will end up. But Jesus definitely knows he's gonna drag this out as long as possible. That kid is a loose cannon.

According to Shorter himself, why he chose Texas:
“I did some research and looked at how SEC backs are always banged up and they don't go really high in the draft,” Shorter said. “It's usually guys from the Big 12 and the Pac-12, conferences like that. That's what helped put Texas over the top.”
