Don't read too much in to it. If I am not mistaken, Nate Brown never took a visit to Mizzou until after he committed. Plus we have a former Mizzou coach at that school coaching there.

Maybe you're right. Fingers crossed for all three DEs since thereis talk of Beckner lining up inside.

I think your visitor is Beckner.

Fair enough but Saint armour seems more interested in OSU with an official set up there and none here. He also camped with them last month and took an unofficial to Michigan State and none here this summer.

It is purely gut feeling and no facts, but I'm picking up the same vibe on Saint Armour that I did with the Sawyer kid. Showed some early interest but then moved on to other fish. Of course, the Sawyer kid ended up not making the grades. Obviously, Saint Armour is a different kid so I hope I'm wrong.

Terry Beckner is the guy Gabe was talking about. He's got both an unofficial and an official scheduled with us for this year. He did say he still plans on taking officials to FSU, Ohio State, USC, and maybe one other, but Mizzou is the only ones he has scheduled at this point. Seems like he's ours to lose from what I've read.

Interesting list of schools as his camp has on more than one occasion talked about playing in the best conference in CFB, namely the SEC. Hope you're right and hope we don't lose him. Add him to the list of commits and it's one helluva class.

I would be most afraid of losing Beckner to FSU(national champs) or LSU(great for his style of play and in the SEC). He commented he liked USC as a kid but I don't think he has a lot of interest in the distance from his family. I think he's ours to lose but I'm still holding my breath.

LSU was the other official they mentioned he might take. Word was his parents, especially momma, want him close to home so they can come to his games and such, which would work out well for us. He is more open to national offers and going away to school, but with his parents wanting him close that trends well for us.

I would like to thank all the schools that recruited me. It's been a blessing. My top 5 (no order) is

Iowa
Oregon
Mizzou
K-State
Louisville

Oh look Oregon is in somebody's top 5 again. I wish those guys would stay on the west coast with their fancy uniforms.

BTW-all the analysts at 247 have him going to Nebraska.

Well, that's encouraging. Paulie, someone said something about him wanting to dual sport with baseball. You heard that?

Yes, Doherty will play both baseball and football in college. In all honesty, it sounds like the baseball coach may cost us another football player seeing as not many want to play for him. This is the last year of his contract, so hopefully we can replace him with someone worth a crap.

He does want to play baseball too which may be the reason Nebraska didn't make the cut. They may not have wanted him for baseball.

Here's a story from Iowa's perspective

Well, we got SEC baseball going for us, regardless of who the coach is. Beyond that, does Iowa even play baseball? Boy, I just don't even know what to think on this one.

I know very little about college baseball but it seems like he might be using a football scholarship to play baseball. He commented that he likes how Bobby petrino at Louisville puts people in the nfl, so who knows.
He has set up some september visits but I don't think Mizzou is one yet.

I don't feel terribly confident on this one but he would be a great fit.
